Chapter 123
Seraphina gazed at the street view for a while before the waiter landed her the packed iteins.
Thank you Seraphina said, taking the bag and stepping out the loor. She had barely walked a few steps when a child suddenly dashed past her. Seraphina quickly moved to the side, but her foot slipped. She was about to fall. Just as she braced herself for the impact, a warm aim wrapped around her waist, steadying her.
However, the forer was too much, and Seraphina fell right into the person who had caught her. The contents of her bag went flying, crashing into him. Coffee and cake spilled everywhere.
The man was wearing a white shirt and a black trench coat, which was open. The coffer splattered all over his pristine white shin, leaving large brown stains. Though the cake hadn’t hit him, the coffee alone had ruined his shirt.
As soon as Seraphina steadied herself, she immediately bowed. Fin so sorry, sir.”
“It’s you” the man replied.
Seraphina was taken aback. He knows me? But his voice doesn’t ring any bells. She lifted her head and blinked in surprise!
A handsome man with an air of elegance stood in front of Seraphina. His slight smile and long trench coat made him look tall and refined, like a prince. He was undeniably easy on the eyes, exuding the confidence and charm of someone highly successful
Seraphina felt she had seen him somewhere before but couldn’t quite place it. “You are..” she smiled apologetically.
The Four Seasons Hotel in Kingsland,” he reminded Seraphina with a slight smile. “I handed you a pack of napkins.”
Seraphina’s eyes widened. It was him. The man who had given her napkins despite the smell of her vomit. At that time, she thought he was very graceful.
“So, it was you.” Seraphina said, smiling gratefully. “You’ve helped me twice now..
“It’s an honor that you remember me,” he replied, his smile widening. His eyes sparkled like stars, making his warmth even more contagious. A4rue gentleman.
Seraphina glanced at the man’s now stained shirt, feeling a headache. After living with Clarence for a while, she had picked up a few things about custom–made clothing.
The shirt this man was wearing was unmistakably from a luxury brand. It was custom–tailored and easily worth five figures. With coffee soaked into it, even dry cleaning wouldn’t help. The shirt was as good as ruined.
He had helped her twice now, yet lost an expensive shirt. Guilt gnawed at Seraphina as she swallowed hard. “Sir, I’ve ruined your shirt. Let me replace it for you. I work at Vantique, and we just received a new line of men’s shirts. You’re welcome to come to the store and pick one.”
“You work at Vantique? The man finally glanced at Seraphina’s uniform.
“Yes,” Seraphina replied, pulling out her name badge from her pocket and pinning it to her chest. “My name’s Seraphina Johnson.”
The man gave a “hmm” and thought for a moment before nodding. “Alright, let’s go take a look
Seraphina’s heart ached. Though Vantique wasn’t quite on the same level as the international brand he was wearing, their new men’s shirts still cost over three thousand dollars a piece. She thought, Looks like this month’s paycheck is going down the drain thanks to this cup of coffee.
Seraphina said, “Sir, could you wait for me a moment? I still need to replace the coffee and cake for a customer. I’m sorry for

the inconvenience”
“No problem. I’ll wait,” he said, still maintaining his gentlemanly demeanor.
As they headed back toward the cafe, the man courteously held the door open for Seraphina.
Seraphina quickly repurchased the coffee and cake.
The man sat by the window, patiently waiting for Seraphina.
Seraphina didn’t sit with the man, instead staying by the counter to guard the orders. As she glanced back, she noticed him. watching her. His expression was calm, but his eyes were warm as if quietly smiling.
Seraphina politely nodded in acknowledgment and turned back around, and her heart still ached. Why couldn’t he he a bit more generous and just let the shirt slide? He is clearly well–off, dressed head–to–toe in luxury. Though she knew she was at fault, she couldn’t help but grumble inwardly.
When Seraphina led the man back to the store, all the younger staff members‘ eyes were glued to him. Had it not been for their ongoing evaluation period, they would have rushed forward, eager to serve such a strikingly handsome customer.
But it was a special time, so the staff members had to suppress their excitentent, settling instead for casting envious glances at Seraphina, who was leading him toward the men’s section.
“Sir, these are the latest shirts from this season. We have a variety of styles and colors for you,to choose from.” Seraphina paused and smiled, adding, “Tll be covering the cost.”
The man didn’t immediately respond, but after surveying the collection, he smiled slightly at Seraphina. “Ms. Johnson, would you mind giving me a recommendation?”
“Of course.” Seraphina reached for a white shirt and held it up to him. This white shirt is made from silk fabric…” she began. expertly explaining the style, fabric, and design. She didn’t stop with the white one, offering suggestions in other colors as well.
“Sir, all the shirts I’ve recommended will complement the black trench coat you’re wearing today. Which one do you prefer?”
“I rather like this pale gold one, the man said, picking up another shirt.
Seraphina’s heart clenched. The one he picked was the most expensive shirt in the store. Though the one he was currently wearing was worth more. If he chose this pale gold shirt, it would take her two–month salary to buy it.
Still, Seraphina maintained her smile, taking the shirt from his hands and enthusiastically introducing it. “This shirt is our flagship piece this season. The craftsmanship and materials are top–notch, and they are all designed by Vantique’s lead designer. It’s a handcrafted luxury shirt.
“However, if you plan to pair it with your coat today, this pale gold might overshadow the look. But, if you’re not limited to today’s outfit. I’d recommend this lightweight blazer, which was specifically designed to complement this shirt.” ”
After Seraphina’s detailed explanation, the man seemed convinced and agreed to try on both the pale gold shirt and the matching blazer.
Seraphina thought. If he buys the blazer too. I’ll earn a nice commission. Maybe I can salvage next month’s paycheck after

The man was trying on in the VIP fitting room, and Seraphina was waiting outside the door. “Sir, call me when you need help

As soon as he disappeared inside, one of the younger sales associates tiptoed over to Seraphina, eyes gleaming with envy. “Sera, where on earth did you find this stunning guy? I’ve worked here for ages and never seen anyone this handsome walk through the doors.
“He’s definitely rich and well–mannered. And he looks very gentle. Sera, I swear, while you showed him the clothes, he kept smiling the whole time, like a prince. So elegant. If he buys both pieces, you’ll definitely be today’s top seller. Your commission at the end of the month will be at least this much.”
