Although they had done everything last night, Seraphina still felt a little shy in front of the man wearing nothing but swim trunks. She couldn’t bring herself to look directly at Clarence’s perfect and undeniably attractive body.
She couldn’t help but think to herself how generous the heavens had been to Clarence, giving him the very best in every
way.
Clarence walked over and gently pinched her chin, turning her slightly flushed face toward him. A playful smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he teased. “You’ve already seen me without any clothes on, but now you can’t even look at me when I’m dressed?”
Seraphina was left speechless, thinking, ‘Does a pair of swim trunks really count as being dressed? She mumbled, “That’s not
true.
Clarence chuckled softly and pulled her tightly into his embrace Startled, she looked at him nervously and stammered, “Y- You still want to
He interjected. “Want what?”
Seraphina couldn’t bring herself to say it, but she could feel the changes in Clarence’s body… Once she realized it, her face. flushed even more. “You should take a break. No matter how good your stamina is, don’t overdo it,” she whispered.
Clarence, however, fell silent, thinking how cute her shy expression was.
He lowered his head, gave Seraphina a quick peck on the lips, then straightened up. He teased, “What are you thinking? Do you think a kiss would wear me out? I didn’t realize you had such a wild imagination, silly girl.”
Seraphina was once again at a loss for words, feeling a bit annoyed as she thought, ‘He’s the one who was getting all worked up, and yet he’s the one teasing me: She huffed and pushed Clarence away.
But just as she turned around, Clarence hugged her from behind and suddenly presented something white in front of her. If was a seashell
“Oh wow. It’s so beautiful. Seraphina’s face lit up with joy as she reached for it. She recalled that when Clarence had waved at her earlier, he had something in his hand–it must’ve been this. She asked, “Is this for me?”
“Of course, Clarence replied, pulling her even closer. “After all, you’re the only woman I have right now.”
Seraphina fell silent. The words “the only woman I have right now were sweet and heart–stirring at first, but when she thought about the “right now” part, the joy in her heart faded a le. “What about later? she wondered. Will there be other women in his life?
Noticing her silence, Clarence asked sofily, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing” Seraphina shook her head, pushing away the stray thoughts in her mind. Why am I overthinking this?‘ she mused Tm just his plaything for now, Am I really hoping for something more long–term Knowing my place is the key to happiness:
She figured that since Clarence had gone out early in the morning to dive and find a seashell for her, she might as well enjoy this moment of tenderness from him. Wanting more would only lead to disappointment.
Pushing aside her unease, Seraphina turned around and smiled sweetly at him, “Thank you Go take a shower, and I’ll wait for you for breakfast.”
Her radiant smile, so obedient and endearing, made Clarence’s response equally gentle. “Alright.”
Seraphina then went to the restaurant first and waited. Half an ur later, Clarence, having changed his clothes, ktrode in

radiantly, handsome enough to attract all eyes.
Seeing him, she suddenly understood the meaning of the phrase eye candy“. With such a stunning figure before her, it felt like she could be full without even needing to eat.
Clarence sat down next to Seraphina, and the breakfast on the table, as always, was quite exquisite.
She ate her bagel, tart, and fruit juice while Clarence made himself a sandwich. After making it, he handed it to her and said. You should try to adapt to my tastes.
Seraphina went silent, thinking to herself. Yeah, he’s my benefactor. Of course, I have to adapt to him. What? Am I supposed to make him adapt to me? She didn’t say anything, just smiled faintly, took the sandwich, and bit into it
Clarence was a bit surprised when he saw that. He raised the knife and fork in his hand and said, “You know there are utensils, right?”
Seraphina pouted slightly, “Biting into it directly tastes better, doesn’t it? Why use utensils? Isn’t that overcomplicating things
Clarence sighed. pinched her cheek lightly, and said, “I’ll have Sharon arrange for you to take some etiquette lessons. After all, you’re just hanging around the villa all day with nothing to do.”
Seraphina thought that he had hit the nail on the head. She really did spend her days stuck in the villa with nothing to do. It was incredibly boring. After swallowing her bite of sandwich, she asked, “Can I go to work?”
“Hm?” Clarence questioned, as if he hadn’t quite understood her.
Seraphina scratched her ear, her voice soft. “I want to go to work
“Are you short on money? Clarence asked.
Seraphina hesitated before replying, “No. I just want to kill some time.”
Clarence didn’t say anything. He reached for his briefcase, pulled out two cards, and slid them toward her. “One’s a credit card, and the other’s a debit card. When you want to pass the time, just go shopping.” She stared at the cards thoughtfully but didn’t respond
“Don’t even think about going to work. Clarence zipped up his briefcase with a casual expression. “My woman doesn’t need
to work that hard”
Hearing that, Seraphina fell into deep thought again. The words sounded warm, but she didn’t want to live under Clarence’s protection and lose her independence.
Clarence noticed her silence and glanced at her before adding, “If you’re really bored, why not learn something new? Piano, chess, painting, flower arranging–aren’t these the things girls lice? You could make some friends, and the time will fly by. I’ll try to spend more time with you in the evenings.”
Seraphina started mulling over his words, pondering. Try to spend more time, huh? How non–committal. He doesn’t have to show up every day, but 1, on the other hand, am stuck in this gilded cage he’s built for me…
Noticing she was a bit upset, Clarence reached out, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her affectionately. “You got meals prepared for you, clothes laid out, and you can sleep in until you wake up naturally–this kind of life is something so many women would envy, and yet you’re still not happy?”
“No, Seraphina said sohly. His embrace was comforting, and she felt her heart soften a bit. “It’s just that I have too much
fire tune”
“Til have Sharon arrange something for you. You can pick a few things that interest you to study, Clarence said, picking up his briefcase. “I was going to give you this later, but since you’re out happy. I guess I’ll give it to you now.”

With that, he took out a long, elegant box from his briefcase and handed it to Seraphina. “Go ahead. Open it. The box was exquisite and clearly expensive.
She opened it, and her eyes immediately lit up. Inside was a dazzling diamond necklace with a heart–shaped pendant made of pink diamonds. It was so stunning that she couldn’t take her eyes off it
“Do you like it?” Clarence whispered in Seraphina’s car.
She replied. “It’s too extravagant.”
“Of course. I have to give you the best,” Clarence said, taking the necklace from the box and gently placing it around Seraphina’s neck. “As long as you behave, I’ll give you whatever you want.”
Seraphina fell silent again, thinking. Behave? Uh–huh. Like a good mistress should
