aphina stood up and greeted her warmly. Noticing Kemp beside her, she added, “Hello, Mr. Gissing With her striking looks and approachable charm, Seraphina greeted him so politely that Kemp instantly formed a good impression. “Dad” Lucia cleared her throat, cutting off Kemp’s enthusiastic rainbling. Her father had this habit of trying to rope every handsome guy or pretty girl he met into his film world, claiming they all looked like his movie stars. But then again, Thomas was incredibly good–looking. Why hadn’t her father discovered him?
“My apologies” Kemp flashed Seraphina an apologetic smile before turning to Thomas. His expression suddenly turned cold and disdainful. “Lucia, you should break up with this ugly fellow immediately.
Kemp had always been sarcastic with Thomas, and out of respect for Kemp as an elder, Thomas had held back from snapping back. But Kemp’s constant jabs were starting to get under Thomas‘ skin. A trace of pride surfaced, and Thomas sneered, “Sir, I pity you.”
Kemp frowned, letting out a confused “Hmm?”
Thomas replied icily, “You’re still young, but clearly, you’re already blind.” He thought, Sure, I don’t have a house, a car, or savings, but to say I’m not good–looking? I refuse to accept that!
Everyone was stunned at Thomas‘ words.
“You” Kemp pointed at Thomas, seething. “Lucia, you see this? This is your boyfriend, showing no respect for his elders. He’s saying I’m blind.
“Whether you like it or not, this relationship ends now. Right now, on behalf of Lucia, I’m officially dumping you, you worthless pile of cow dung. And if you ever bother her again, I’ll make sure you go blind.” Then, he stormed off, dragging
Lucia with him.
Thomas stood there, completely unbothered.
Seraphina gave Thomas a playful smack on the head. “Well, great. Now you’ve made an enemy.”
Thomas shrugged. “Doesn’t matter. We were never friends anyway”
Seraphina seriously wondered who the heavens would send to finally get Thomas to care about something.

Seraphina scoffed, “You made the mess. You clean it up yourself I’m out. There’s no way I can eat after this. Then, she grabbed her bag and walked out. She was full of frustration, not food.
When Seraphina returned to the villa, Sharon was still in the living room. Seeing Seraphina, Sharon smiled softly, “Sera, Mr. Vanderbilt wants to see you in his room.
Seraphina took the elevator up to the third floor.
The vast space was filled with a faint scent of mint. It was Clarence’s signature fragrance. The streetlights illuminated the rooftop garden, and a gentle night breeze carried the subtle aroma of night–blooming jasmine.
This was Clarence’s private space. When they reconciled, he had made it clear that no one, not even Seraphina, was allowed up here without his permission. Since then, she had never come tip on her own.

Chapter 66
The door was slightly afar. Seraphina gently pushed it open, but the room was empty. The light in the bathroom was on.
Π After moments of uncertainty, she softly called out, ‘Clarence… The name felt strange on her lips, almost awkward. It suddenly hit her. This was the first time she’d ever called him by his name. The realization made her feel unexpectedly shy
“Come in. Clarence’s voice came from the bathroom.
Seraphina walked over and gently pushed the door open.
Clarence was shaving in front of the mirror.
Just as Seraphina was about to step inside, her face flushed, and she quickly stepped back out. She screamed inwardly, ‘Oh my goodness! He isn’t wearing a thing. What a shameless man
Clarence glanced at himself in the mirror, noticing Seraphina ish, A wicked grin spread across his face. “Why so shy? It’s not like you haven’t seen it before”
Clarence’s words made Seraphina’s face even redder. She thought. There’s a big difference between seeing your dick durin making love and accidentally walking in on it.
“Couldn’t you at least wrap a towel?” Seraphina muttered, flustered, as she walked over to the towel rack. She grabbed a town and handed it to Clarence.
“Help me. Clarence said in a teasing tone.
Seraphina was speechless. She held the towel and moved behind Clarence, ready to wrap it around his waist.
But Clarence turned around, pulled Seraphina into his arms, held her face, and kissed her deeply. “I’ll just have to take it off again. Such a hassle,” he murmured before diving back into the kiss
After their passionate encounter, Seraphina rested her head on Clarence’s arm while he exchanged work messages with Randy on WhatsApp. She thought, “This man’s stamina is truly something‘ She was fiddling with her phone, too, but her mind was clearly elsewhere.
Noticing Seraphina’s mood, Clarence set his phone aside, turned towards her, and gently lifted her chin. His voice was soft yet playful. “Why the sulky face? Did I not satisfy you just now?”
Seraphina remained silent. She thought, ‘Satisfy? Is that what he thinks? I’m not unsatisfied. I’m just unhappy
“Want me to reward you a little more?” Clarence grinned, placing his hand on her waist.
Seraphina squirmed away. “That’s not it.”
Then what’s wrong?” Clarence asked.
Seraphina sighed and pouted slightly, “It’s Thomas, of course.
Clarence recalled. “Right, you were with him tonight. Did he and Lucia patch things up?”
“Forget it I’ve completely given up hope on those two, Seraphina said, sounding utterly dejected. “They’re like oil and water, constantly at each other’s throats. And to make matters worse, Lucia’s dad had to get involved”
“Kemp? Clarence raised an eyebrow
Seraphina replied, “Yeah, he saw Lucia and Thomas‘ WhatsApp messages and soinehow jumped to the conclusion that they were dating. He even tried to force them to break up: I have no idea what they were talking about in those messages Mr. Gisting misunderstand so badly”

Clarence chuckled, “It’s not about what they talked about. Kenips just overly protective. He’s suspicious of any guy who gets close to Luria, assuming they all have bad intentions. The moment he finds one, he’s ready to get rid of them.”

Seraphina said, “Then how’s Lucia ever supposed to date, let alone get married and have kids?”
“Kemp adores Lucia. He just wants her to find the perfect man. But now that he’s meddling, I doubt this will end well.” Clarence replied.
Seraphina chuckled. “You guessed right. The outcome was a disaster. Thomas snapped at Mr. Gissing, and he stormed off in arage. That’s why I said Licia and Thomas probably won’t be speaking to each other for the rest of their lives.”
“As long as we can still keep seeing each other, that’s what matters Clarence said, pressing closer to Seraphina, his lips capturing hers in a tender yet unmistakably passionate kiss. His intentions were crystal clear.
