“So, you like chubby girls, huh? Seraphina smirked.
Clarence was at a loss for words. He leaned in close, his lips brushing against hers. The person I like is you!”
Now, it was Seraphina’s turn to be speechless. His flirting skills were certainly improving by leaps and bounds.

After Clarence left. Seraphina slept until she woke naturally. The thick curtains blocked out the sunlight. Clarence had thoughtfully drawn them closed before leaving
Over the past few days, her relationship with Clarence had been blossoming. The sweetness flowing between them grew more intense as if they were genuinely falling in love. This feeling was intoxicating, but it also left Seraphina feeling a bit
uneasy.
Clarence had warned her not to fall in love with him. But there was no way she could resist his constant t
tenderness.
Seraphina felt confused. He told her not to love him, yet he treated her with such affection. She feared that if things got too sweet, fate would snatch away them too soon.
Yet, Seraphina was also afraid he might stop doting on her. She didn’t know how long her allure would last.
Seraphina rolled over. lying flat on her back, her gaze losing focus as she stared at the crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. She knew better than to overthink it. If that day ever came, she’d cross that bridge when she got there. For now, it was best to live in the moment.
Taking a deep breath. Seraphina threw back the covers and got out of bed. She decided it was time for a workout.
Later, as she stepped into the shower after her morning romp with Clarence, Seraphina couldn’t suppress a grin. His parting quip echoed in her mind. “No wonder they say even heroes fall for a pretty face.” Their little love nest was indeed a tempting escape from the outside world.
Seraphina chuckled softly to herself. That man was insatiable, she mused, always eager for another round. As Seraphina ran the soap over her skin, her hand froze. Her fingers had brushed over a small patch of bumps on her abdomen. She frowned, peering down at the skin. ‘Is that a mosquito bite?”.
Dismissing it, Seraphina continued her shower. But soon, she noticed similar red bumps scattered across other parts of her body. This was more than just insect bites.
Actually, she’d noticed some bumps appearing over the past few days. She’d applied some skin cream, and they’d faded, so she hadn’t given it much thought. But now, with bumps cropping up all over, it was clear something was wrong.
Concerned, Seraphina decided it was time to seek medical attention. She headed to the hospital to see a dermatologist
The doctor made an initial diagnosis of an allergic reaction and can some allergy tests on Seraphina, but they came back inconclusive.
“Any history of allergies?” the doctor asked.
Seraphina shook her head. “No, I’ve never had allergies before. This must be the first time
The doctor studied the report for a moment before asking, “Have you eaten anything new recently? Or come into contact with anything unfamiliar? Unusual plants, for example
“No strange plants, Seraphina replied. Then, her eyes darkened slightly as she murmured, “But I’ve recently started taking birth control pills. I’ve never used them before. Could that be the cause?”

“Hmm. The doctor frowned. “That brand should be FDA-approved, and allergic reactions to it are extremely rare. The only way to determine if it’s causing your skin reaction is to stop taking it for two or three days and see if the symptoms disappear.
“If the symptoms disappear, try taking the medication once or twice more. If you have another allergic reaction, then you’re definitely allergic to it. My advice? Stop taking it
Following the doctor’s orders, Seraphina stopped taking her birth control for two days. Luckily, Clarence was busy with his mother during that time and didn’t visit the villa Otherwise, she wouldn’t have known how to handle the situation.
On the third day, Seraphina resumed taking the pill. The very next day, the rash reappeared. It was clear she was allergic to this brand of birth control.
Seraphina applied some anti-allergy cream to the affected areas She sat on the terrace, looking dejected.
Of all things to be allergic to, she’d managed to react to what Sharon had sworn was the most foolproof, side-effect-free option on the market. Yet here she was, suffering such severe side effects.
Seraphina couldn’t take those pills anymore, but the consequence was unthinkable. Clarence had been crystal clear about not wanting kids outside his marriage, making pregnancy an absolute dealbreaker.
Birth control usually meant either the woman taking pills or the man using protection. But Clarence wouldn’t use condoms, and she couldn’t take the pills now. It was a real dilemma,
Seraphina twisted the cap back on the ointment and tossed it onto the table. She grabbed her phone and searched for “best birth control methods” online.
The results were eye-opening, to say the least. Most responses were jokes or useless suggestions, Finally, she came across a post claiming that an IUD was the best option for women.
While not 100% effective, it was the next best thing to pills or condoms. It was also the most traditional method. For now. this seemed like her best option.
Getting an IUD seemed like the perfect solution. It would prevent pregnancy, accommodate Clarence’s dislike for condoms. and avoid any allergic reactions. A win-win-win situation
Seraphina had asked Barbara to come w
with her. This was all new territory for Seraphina. She’d never even had a gynecological exam before, let alone considered birth control as an unmarried woman. Feeling a bit shy, she’d asked Barbara for moral support.
“An IUD?” Barbara couldn’t hide her surprise. “Wow, that feels like such a grown-up thing
Barbara, who hadn’t even dated yet, found it hard to wrap her head around something typically associated with married
Women.
“I’m allergic to the pill, and he won’t use condoms,” Seraphina explained. “So right now, this is pretty much our only option for birth control”
Barbara chuckled softly. “If you get pregnant, just have the baby Who knows? You might become his main squeeze because
of it.
Seraphina laughed, “He’s made it clear he doesn’t want me to have children.”
Barbara fell silent. “Ugh, what a jerk!” she snorted, feeling sorry for Seraphina. “Honey, you deserve better. If he cares for you but doesn’t want you pregnant, it means he’s not looking for a lasting connection.
“That way, he can make a clean break without any strings attached some day.
“Sera, you need to wise up and not fall too deep. No matter how much he dotes on you now, if he’s not promising you

future, all this sweetness between you is as fragile as a bubble-one touch and it’ll burst. Don’t be naive, okay?”
Seraphina was stunned into silence. If even the usually carefree Barbara could see through this, she couldn’t pretend not to. understand
