Scarlett stood out in every way her looks, figure, and especially her grace. With her elegant posture and striking features. one could quickly tell she had dance training. That unique elegance was something rarely seen in ordinary people.
Scarlett had Seraphina practice her posture for two days.
Since Seraphina already had a great figure and demeanor, Scarlett’s corrections and training added an extra touch of elegance to her movements. Especially when Seraphina walked with her head held high and chest out, her beautiful neck resembled that of a graceful swan
Even after just a few days of practice, Seraphina’s overall demeanor changed significantly. Even Clarence felt she had become entirely different.
“I’m starting to look forward to seeing your transformation in a month,” he said.
Seraphina pouted, “So, in your eyes, am I really that bad?”
“Not at all. I like you so much. Clarence kissed her. “Aren’t you satisfied?”
Seraphina was speechless. During this time, the two were inseparable, and Clarence’s sweet nothings flowed more smoothly. than ever.
At the end of each month, NexGen Group would hold a birthday party for employees celebrating their birthdays that month. Coincidentally, it was also the month for recognizing quarterly outstanding employees, so both events were combined. Jennifer specifically booked Fine Taste for the celebration.
Shirley was doubly blessed. This day was not only her birthday, but she had also been with the company for only two months and was already selected as an outstanding employee.
Everyone was congratulating her.
You’re amazing. You got selected as an outstanding employee so quickly. Us old–timers from Sorelia haven’t even had a chance yet, a young cashier said enviously.
A middle–aged woman, Lily Miller, nearby chimed in, “If you worked as seriously as Ms. Green, you would have beent selected long ago. You spend so much time on romance that you naturally have less energy for work. Once you face at breakup, you’ll probably channel that heartbreak into becoming an outstanding employee.”
The young cashier pouted, “Lily, why would you say that? I’m not breaking up with anyone.
Lily shrugged. “You’ve had at least five boyfriends in the past year, and the latest one has been around for about a month now. It’s probably not going to last.”
The young cashier was stunned.
As they bantered, Shirley stayed silent. The phone by the computer rang, and she picked it up. “Hello, Finance Department.”
“Ms. Green, it’s Jenny. Are you busy?” It was Jennifer calling.
“I’m not busy. Ms. Dickens. Is there something you need?” Shirley asked.
“Could you come to my office for a moment?”
“Sure Shirley hung up and stood up. Tll be in the president’s office. Call me if you need anything

“Okay” Lily nodded.
Shirley left the office.
The young cashier whispered. “Did you know that when she joined the company, Ms. Dickens personally interviewed her? Lily, do you think she got in through connections?”
Just do your job,” Lily replied casually. “No matter how she got in. Ms. Green’s skills speak for themselves. She’s meticulous and responsible. There’s no way to find any mistakes in her work. She’s more than qualified for her position”
In the president’s office, Shirley knocked on the door.
“Come in, Jennifer said.
Shirley pushed the door open. In the spacious office, Jennifer was standing by the floor–to–ceiling window in a white professional suit, holding a cup of coffee and watching the sunse
Upon seeing Shirley enter. Jennifer smiled warmly, and her demeanor was very friendly.
“Ms. Dickens Shirley greeted.
Jennifer walked back to her desk, placed the coffee cup down, picked up a beautifully wrapped gift box, and approached Shirley, handing it over. “Happy birthday! Just a small gift. I hope you like it.”
Shirley was momentarily taken aback. She hadn’t expected Jennifer to call her in just to give her a birthday gift. It was a pleasant surprise. This… Thank you, Ms. Dickens.”
“When we’re alone, just call me Jenny. Jennifer smiled. T’m really close with Sera, and I see you as more of an acquaintance than just an employee.”
Shirley was surprised. “You are close with Sera?”
“Yes,” Jennifer said with a smile. “Sera and I have been good friends for a long time, so on your birthday, 1 want to give you special gift to show my respect.”
Shirley had been puzzled as to why Jennifer was giving her a gift privately, but now she understood their close relationship.
“What about my job?” she started to ask.
Jennifer quickly interjected, “You got this job entirely based on your abilities. While I did give you the opportunity, if you didn’t have the skills, I wouldn’t have accepted you. I wouldn’t joke around with the company’s interests.
“It’s proven that my decision to hire you was correct. In just two months, you’ve become an outstanding employee. The company is lucky to have someone as responsible as you as its finance director.”
“Ms. Dickens, you flatter me. But I will continue to work hard,” Shirley smiled.
Jennifer took Shirley’s hand. “Why are you still calling me Ms. Dickens?”
“Jenny” Shirley smiled.
Jennifer smiled, “Tonight’s company dinner allows family members. You can invite Sera to celebrate your birthday together. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t seen her in days.”
“Okay, I’ll call her right now. Shirley held the gift. Thank you, Jenny.”
After leaving the president’s office, Shirley headed for the elevator and pressed the down button.
The elevator doors slid open, and Shirley stepped inside, pressing the button for the finance department’s floor. As the

doors slowly closed, she lowered her head to dial Seraphina’s number,
In a corridor, the poised Mason was walking toward Jennifer’s office accompanied by his assistant, Lucas Harris. As he passed the elevator, he casually glanced at the doors that were slowly closing. In just a second, the doors shut completely.
Mason’s expression suddenly changed. Instinctively, he took a big step toward the elevator and quickly pressed the down button. Unfortunately, the door had already closed.
But another elevator door opened. Lucas said, “Mr. Dickens, this elevator is here.”
Mason didn’t move, his gaze fixated on the descending elevator. It stopped on the eighth floor where the finance department was.
“Send me a copy of all the employees‘ information from the finance department to my email, Mason said solemnly.
Lucas nodded in surprise. “Understood, Mr. Dickens.
Mason arrived at Jennifer’s office.
“Dad. Jennifer gave him a big hug.
Mason, however, seemed distracted and didn’t respond warmly to Jennifer.
“Dad, what’s wrong?” Jennifer noticed his unusual demeanor.
“Nothing. Mason said lightly, forcing a smile as he looked at Jennifer. “I just did a round of the company. Jeni, you’re doing really well. You’re much more capable than your younger brother.”
