Kemp asked. “And you?”
Tm fine. Thomas placed his helmet in Kemp’s lap

“Hold on tight.” Thomas said seriously.
He accelerated, but no matter how fast the motorcycle went, it couldn’t outrun the coming storm.
In less than a minute, large raindrops began to fall from the sky, and the darkness deepened. It felt as if they were riding through a sandstorm.
Soon, the rain turned into a torrential downpour, soaking both of them instantly. The wind howled, causing the trees by the roadside to sway dangerously, and the motorcycle nearly skidded a few times. The terrible weather made it clear that continuing was not an option
“Sir, let’s find a place to take cover, Thomas shouted.
Kemp, not wanting to risk his life, shouted back, “Alright!”
On the roadside, there was an abandoned warehouse. Thomas parked the motorcycle at the entrance and went inside with Kemp. Although it was run-down, it provided shelter from the rain.
Both of them were drenched, looking like drowned rats. They wiped the water off their faces. The dim light inside matched the darkening sky outside, making the atmosphere even gloomier.
Thomas pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. Luckily, they hadn’t gotten wet. He lit one and offered it to Kemp.
“You’re pretty relaxed, Kemp said, taking the cigarette and shaking his head at the pouring rain outside. It seemed their collaboration with Foster Group was going down the drain.
“Since we’re already caught in this, we just have to accept it. Thomas replied nonchalantly. He casually twirled the lighter in his hand before turning to Kemp to light his cigarette.
Kemp held the cigarette in his mouth while Thomas lit it for him.
Kemp said, “Thanks”
Thomas remained silent and lit one for himself.

The two of them stood there, smoking and watching the dark sky outside. Water continued to drip from their clothes. Kemp suddenly remembered something and glanced to the side, spotting the paper bag. It had a waterproof coating and hadn’t gotten wet in the rain.
