Chapter 4
The next day, I woke up on a large bed.
The bright sunshine made it impossible for people to open their eyes.
I sat up, and the blanket slipped off, revealing the soft bathrobe wrapped around me.
I hesitated for a moment, then got up and walked out.
In the bright living room, Terrance was sitting with his legs crossed, reading the morning newspaper, also wearing a hotel bathrobe.
When I came out, he lifted his eyelids and glanced lightly, saying, “You’re awake. Breakfast is on the table. Finish eating and then go back to sleep for a while.”
A wave of horror swept over me, and my face turned pale, “We…”
The morning newspaper was casually thrown on the coffee table by Terrance, with the collar slightly pulled open, revealing ambiguous kiss marks. “Unfortunately, it was you who took the initiative last night.”
I was struck by lightning, and my memory of last night was completely blank.
“It was impossible.”
Terrance placed a contract in front of me, with my fingerprint pressed on it. The general content was that I would be his lover, and he would give me a monthly salary of one hundred thousand dollars.
“This couldn’t have been pressed by me…”
“Is that so?” Terrance chuckled lightly, “Are you sure?”
Facing his serious and calm gaze, I opened my mouth but didn’t say a word.
He ignored my uneasiness and took out a recording pen.
“Last night, by accident, I recorded your monologue. Ms. Cordova, would you like to hear your filthy thoughts?”
I shivered all over, as if I had fallen into an ice cellar.
A huge sense of shame overwhelmed me.
This kind of thought, when kept hidden, was considered dirty. But now that it has been spoken out,
it is treated as evidence, just like committing a crime.
Terrance’s eyebrows were furrowed, making it difficult to discern his emotions.
Chapter 4
“Lusting after a married man, huh, Elliana? How about we play this recording for them to listen
to?”
I tightly clenched my hands, and my nails dug into my palm. “Are you trying to get back at me?”
“Yes,” he replied nonchalantly, “You never wanted me to have a good life in the first place, so why should I make it easy for you?”
“Two choices.”
“Either fulfill the contract, or I will make the recording public.”
The clock in the corner of the wall ticked, accompanied by the sound of a heartbeat, pounding against the eardrums.
My lips were dry and cracked as I raised my head blankly, “Then let’s make it public.”
Under his cold gaze, I said numbly.
“Terrance, I didn’t want to be your mistress.”
Terrance stared at me intently and smiled, “Elliana, who do you think you are?”
“Do you still have the right to choose?”
