Chapter 6
The crowd cheered and was about to pursue with excitement when Terrance spoke up and changed the topic, “Where were we just now? Let’s continue.”
The atmosphere was lively during that time, and many people wanted to toast Terrance. He made an excuse, saying that he had a stomachache, and didn’t take a sip.
Finally, the manager managed to pour everything into my stomach in various ways.
Finally, I couldn’t hold on any longer and went to the restroom.
The faucet of the washbasin was turned on, and I kept retching. My hair became loose and fell into
the sink, soon becoming wet.
After sending a text message to Alma, I completely lost my strength. I lowered my head and
collapsed onto the sink, gasping heavily with my eyes closed.
There came a slow and steady sound of footsteps from outside the door.
The door was pushed open.
I thought it was a woman coming to the bathroom.
Who knew that Terrance’s voice came, with a calm tone, “Can’t hold on anymore?”
I gathered my strength, propped myself up, and staggered out.
Terrance grabbed my arm and dragged me back.
A big hand stroked the back of my neck.
Boiling hot.
“You let go of me.”
The stomach acid corroded the throat, and with every spoken word, there was a sensation of pain.
Terrance effortlessly dragged me to the mirror, making me face it, lifting my chin and sneering.
“Take a good look at yourself. Going out like this, aren’t you afraid of being targeted by people with
ulterior motives?”
In the mirror, my eyes were moist, my cheeks were flushed, my hair was disheveled and hanging by
my ears, and my collar was open.
Terrance peered at my body unabashedly through the mirror, his gaze deep and penetrating.
I closed my eyes, trembling slightly all over, “Who else could be more sinister than you?”

Terrance chuckled lightly and kissed me on the ear, “Will you come home with me tonight?”
“Roll–”
He ruthlessly blocked my mouth and mercilessly squeezed the oxygen out of my lungs.
Under the influence of alcohol, the blood, like boiling magma, crazily surged through the body.
The light blurred into clusters, and the water droplets appeared as if there was a layer of film separating them.
Dripping, like sulfuric acid on my heart.
Unbearably painful.
I was covered in cold sweat and weakly slapped him.
It felt as if I was dragged back to those dark days.
They stared at this colorful and vibrant world with despair, feeling out of place.
“Terrance, can you let me go?”
I fell silently and crashed hard into the bottom of the well.
It was probably painful.
But I couldn’t feel it anymore.
“Elliana!”
Terrance was calling me.
It was no longer the kind of look that wished for me to die.
He panicked.
I couldn’t tell whether the person in front of me was him from his younger days or him as he is now.
I said, “Terrance, I never want to see you again.”
