Chapter 4
Seeing this scene, Edwin’s friends went up to hold him back.
“Jaliyah, don’t take it personally. Edwin got drunk and was not aware of what he was doing.”
“Take it easy, Jaliyah, and go home first. Later, we will talk to Edwin properly. After all, he is about to get married, yet he is still immature.”
“Jaliyah, seriously, Edwin rarely hangs out, yet you are too strict with him. If my girlfriend were like this, I would have dumped her long ago.”
They spoke one after another.
Suddenly, they were interrupted by Tiara.
“Jaliyah, Edwin asked you to get out. Didn’t you understand?

Seeing that I had no intention of leaving, Tiara cried and threw herself into Edwin’s arms.
“Edwin, would you please
her out?”
Edwin was enlightened immediately.
Disregarding his friends‘ gazes, he pushed

Looking through the glass, I saw men and women inside, enjoying themselves amidst the colorful lights and wine.
I completely cut off thoughts of loving Edwin.
The next morning, I received a notification to go to Aelford.
Vicente Barron, my father’s student, also called me, asking my opinion, “Jaliyah, is it okay to book tomorrow morning’s flight for you?”
I paused and said, “Vicente, time waits for no one. Please book tonight’s flight for me.”
Just then, Edwin pushed open the door and entered.
“Wait for what?”
Thung up the phone and handed a cup of coffee to Edwin.
“Nothing.”
Hearing that, Edwin rubbed his temples and leaned back on the sofa, showing no inter

Suddenly, he remembered something, asking, “What did you want to tell me last night? I was too drunk to remember. Please say it again.”
I was about to speak when Tiara’s exclusive ringtone started ringing.
“Edwin, where is my dress? I especially take a day off today to go shopping with my bestie, all because of you last night…”
Edwin turned around and lowered his voice, “It’s okay. I’ll buy it for you and bring it over later. Be good and wait for me at home.”
After hanging up the phone, Edwin hurriedly left, using the excuse of being called by the hospital department.
Five minutes later, I received a message from Edwin.
“Tell me when you get home tonight.”
I did not reply to him for the first time.
Edwin rarely sent me WhatsApp messages.
So, for every sentence he sent me, I cherished it like a treasure.
I even secretly took screenshots and put them in a file named “Edwin Loves Me“.
During the past seven years, I had become a love detective.
I didn’t let go of any evidence that Edwin loved me.
Seven years passed, but very few screenshots were saved in that file.
I listened as the first spring rain started falling outside the window.
And I clicked the delete button without any hesitation.
Let my humble love, along with the gloom of the entire winter, be washed away by this heavy rain.
I spent the whole day handing over work. Just as I finally finished, I received voice messages from Tiara.
“Jaliyah, Edwin left his wallet at the hospital. Can you bring it over?
“Edwin says that he wants you to come in person.”
Tiara’s voice was mixed with the laughter of other women.
“Tiara, it’s obvious that Edwin is devoted to you.”
“Exactly, Tiara is the true love of Dr. Leach. As for that woman, Edwin never admits her identity in

front of us.”
When I picked up Edwin’s wallet from the sofa, I found a white background photo of Edwin and
Tiara inserted in it.
I pulled it out. There were words on the back written by Tiara, “Edwin, like this, we’re also
considered married.”
Their clothes in the photo were the same as those on them on my 7th anniversary day of being with Edwin.
My hands trembled as I placed the photo back in its original position.
I returned the wallet to Edwin’s office.
Three hours later, I boarded the plane bound for Aelford.
I stared at the chat interface with Edwin and sent him a message.
“Edwin, let’s break up.”
