“Huh?” Jaziel looked at Kayla in astonishment.

At that moment, Kayla’s face was burning hot. Her usual grace and confidence were all burnished. She felt somewhat unable to meet Jaziel’s gaze, keeping her head down and focusing on eating her food.
After finishing their meal, Kayla added Jaziel on WhatsApp and left him her phone number. However, she did not leave with Jaziel.
“I have a friend who’s also at this restaurant. I’ll go find her first,” Kayla said.
“All right. I’ll be going first, then.” Jaziel pulled out a napkin, wiping his mouth.
In truth, the meal was far more enjoyable than the one he had at Susannah’s house.
Stepping out of the private room, Jaziel couldn’t help but glance toward the second–floor staircase.
When he walked in earlier, he immediately felt as if someone was covertly watching him.
However, there was no sense of hostility. Reflecting on then, he thought it had to be that friend Kayla mentioned
He didn’t pay any mind to it and simply headed outside.
Meanwhile, the stunning woman standing by the staircase couldn’t help but pat her chest. “Just as Kayla has mentioned, this person has such a keen sense of observation. I was hiding so well, yet he almost detected me.”
At that moment, Kayla approached and asked, “Maddison, what do you think? Isn’t he incredibly handsome?”
Maddison Lemstra shook her head. “I can’t see what’s so handsome about him, but he’s indeed a bit dangerous. Have you ever considered that he might have intentionally gotten close to you?”
“That’s impossible.” Kayla simply shook her head. “Coming to Cadrexia was a spur–of–the–moment decision. There’s no way he could have arranged everything in advance.”
Maddison let out a sigh. “Even so, you and him just aren’t a good match. He might hold some power in Cadrexia, but your family is different from others. Even the most prominent force in Cadrexia is not worthy of you. Moreover, if you were really with him, it might end up hurting him
A slight pallor washed over Kayla’s charming face when she heard those words.
”
However, she quickly asserted with resolve, “I must take control of my own happiness, even if it means leaving the Nevison family.”
“You…” With a sense of helplessness, Maddison looked at her best friend, finally letting out a sigh.
Maddison then kindly advised, “Kayla, there are plenty of decent men among those from prestigious families. You don’t have to entrust your happiness to him just because he played a heroic act and rescued you once. Perhaps you’re acting on impulse now, but someday you’ll understand that the importance of being well–matched in status is truly significant…”

Meanwhile, as soon as Jaziel stepped out of the restaurant, he saw an SUV roaring away.
Heather was waving goodbye to the departing SUV, likely having just seen off Selina.
When she turned around and saw Jaziel, her face momentarily froze in surprise. “Boss, you’re here too?”
“Yeah” Jaziel nodded. “I heard the company has run into a bit of trouble.”
“Boss, you’ve also found out about that. Heather quickly assured, “But don’t worry, Boss. I’ll resolve this matter swiftly. I promise it won’t hinder the progress of the project.”
Heather was a highly competitive woman, deeply afraid that this incident might leave an impression of her incompetence in Jaziel’s heart.
“No worries. What I mean is, when you go to meet with the company’s owner, I want to go with you. Also, in the future, just call me Jaziel.”
“All right–Heather nodded.
“In that case, Jaziel, I’ll be going first,” Heather said.
Just a moment ago. Selina had given her the phone number and address of that renowned expert, and she was eager to pay a visit.
After all, negotiations with the other company were scheduled for the next day.
Upon seeing Heather about to leave, Jaziel quickly said, “Wait… Can you first drive me home?”
“Oh, okay.” Heather nodded.
After exiting the restaurant, Kayla and Maddison happened to see Jaziel leaving in Heather’s car.
“Isn’t that the one you’re smitten with?” Maddison deliberately remarked, “Seems like he’s pretty popular with the ladies.”
Kayla nodded deeply in agreement. “It seems I need to act quickly, or he’ll be swept off his feet by
else.”
someone
Maddison felt somewhat helpless and speechless. The world has truly gone mad. The daughter of the Nevison family is actually so infatuated with a man. If the guys in the circle were to find out, they’d probably be so shocked that their jaws would hit the floor.
Upon returning to his mansion, Jaziel immediately dialed up Sean, instructing him to investigate Dominion Group’s recent happenings.
Sean’s efficiency remained impressive. In less than an hour, he had laid out the documents in front of Jaziel, explaining. “The company opposing Dominion Group is called Prosperity Corporation. Not only do they monopolize various construction projects, but they are also involved in numerous industries, such as entertainment clubs and logistics. Furthermore, Prosperity Corporation is backed by the Wennick family of Jeahron, a place known for its concentration of prestigious families. It is a hidden den of talent and power. Over generations, through numerous marriages and alliances, the relationships between these families have become incredibly intricate, and their collective influence is staggeringly immense Generally, no one would want to offend a company with such strong ties to Jeahron.”

Jaziel studied the document, lost in thought.
Previously, there were a few individuals from prestigious families in Jeahron who were in prison.
Among them was a chubby individual, especially adept at sucking up to others. At that time, this individual was sucking up to Jaziel, and Jaziel was pleased.
Rumor had it that he was the heir to a particularly large and influential family.

“It’s been a year since that young man got out of jail. I wonder how he’s doing now,” Jaziel mumbled.
The following morning, Jaziel arrived at the base of Dominion Group’s building, yet he did not go up.
Upon hearing the news, Heather, in her high heels, quickly made her way over. “Boss, you’re here. Why aren’t you heading up? Your office is all dusty.”
“Handling the company’s affairs is your job now. As for me, the owner, I’m only concerned with counting the money.
Whether I go to the office or not doesn’t really matter. Also, didn’t I tell you yesterday to call me Jaziel: Stop calling me ‘boss all the time. It’s making me feel old,” Jaziel said with a laugh.
Through this incident, Heather demonstrated her ability to handle matters on her own without bothering her boss. This showed that she was a responsible and capable individual, which made Jaziel view her in a positive light.
“All right, Jaziel.” Heather felt somewhat out of her comfort zone. “The car and everyone are already prepared. Master Warrink is here as well. He’s currently in the VIP lounge. We can depart at any
moment
“Master Warrink?” That was when Jaziel remembered the matter from the previous day when Heather had asked Selina to arrange for an expert fighter to back her up.
“Let’s set off, then.”
“All right.” Heather made a phone call, and soon, several MPVs swiftly departed from the company’s parking lot.
An MPV pulled up in front of Jaziel and Heather.
A driver hastily got out of the car, swinging the car door open. “Please get in the car, Ms. Gellert.”
The driver didn’t know Jaziel, so he was unsure how to address him.
“All right.”
Heather made a gesture of invitation.
Jaziel promptly climbed into the car first.
This actually left the driver somewhat taken aback. I wonder what this young man’s status is…
After Jaziel entered, Heather promptly followed and got into the car.
At that moment, a middle–aged man with a long beard was seated in the car. He was dressed in a suit, squinting his eyes.

Once Jaziel had gotten in the car, he finally widened his eyes and asked, “Ms. Gellert, who is this?”
Before Heather could speak, Jaziel had already taken the initiative to speak.
“I’m Ms. Gellert’s bodyguard,” Jaziel said.
59%
“Bodyguard?” The middle–aged man couldn’t help but take another careful look at Jaziel before finally letting out a soft grunt. “Your hands are soft with no calluses, your eyes lack spirit, your steps are light and unsteady, and your overall demeanor is slack and sloppy. Could a person like you really act as a bodyguard? Has it become so easy to deceive people these days?
However, Jaziel disagreed, saying, “I think you’re mistaken. Don’t you know about the concept of concealing one’s power and returning to simplicity? A true expert is not someone you can fully comprehend with just your naked eyes.”
“Brat, how dare you frivolously discuss traditional combat arts in front of me? You’re showing off before an expert. Harlan Warrink shook his head, his face full of disdain. “I’ve been practicing combat arts for thirty years, barely reaching the apex of focused force. How old are you to dare claim that you’ve achieved. the advanced tier of Boxer’s Domain to have the ability to return to simplicity? Isn’t that laughable?”
Right then, Heather’s eyes sparkled with a hint of admiration as she said, “Yesterday, I went to see Master Warrink, and he performed for me. With a single blow, the nine centimeters thick stone brick was instantly reduced to rubble. Truly, Master Warrink is a master of combat arts,”
When Heather spoke those words, they were intended for Jaziel to hear.
Essentially, she was saying that, even though Jaziel was the boss, he was advised to be courteous to such distinguished individuals to avoid upsetting them.
After all, they had to rely on the other party to keep things under control this time around.
Naturally, Jaziel understood the hidden message behind Heather’s words.
He gave a slight smile, not saying much else.
Harlan had already reached the apex of focused force, effortlessly shattering gold and splitting stones. However, this was still considered a lower tier in the world of boxing-
They could only be considered to have achieved the advanced tier of Boxer’s Domain when they had trained to the point where their entire body, from the inside out, could be controlled with ease.
However, if these principles were voiced out, Heather and the others simply wouldn’t understand. Therefore, Jaziel had no interest in wasting words with them.
