“Asher, what did I do? Why are you so angry?” Jessica mustered her courage and spoke to Asher. Although she usually acted like a tyrant in the company, she did not even dare to do so in front of Asher.

The man asked, “Julia, are you free tonight? I want to treat you to dinner.”

“Sorry, I’m not free tonight,” Julia replied without hesitation.

Valerie immediately put her arm around Julia’s shoulder and looked at her male colleague with a smile. “Otis, don’t have any ideas about Julia. She has a boyfriend.”

Otis Shaw/ was stunned for a moment as if he did not believe it. He looked at Julia for confirmation. Julia nodded silently. “Yes, I have a boyfriend.”

“Come join dinner with me tonight,” Julia said with a smile.

Valerie thought for a moment. “Aren’t you having a conflict with Harry? If the paparazzi took photos of you and Otis eating, would Harry let you off?” 

Upon hearing Harry’s name, Julia expressed disgust. “What does it have to do with him? Can’t I have some normal social interaction of my own?”

Valerie said, “That’s true, but the paparazzi…” 

Julia said, “It’s fine. We have a clear conscience. We’re all colleagues. It’s normal for us to have dinner after work, right?”
