Chapter 23
Audrey similed with an admiring look, “Never holl back. Always be straightforward about your feelings. That’s the Rowes style. Now that you’re treated unfairly, of course, you shouldn’t offer in silence.”
Feeling touched, Shannon looked at Audrey gratefully. “Thanks Audrey
Audrey held up her head. “It’s nothing. Well, if you really want to thank me, don’t forget–I want a sweet granddaughter.
Celia smiled. “Indeed. Tell Randall to work harder. I’m so annoyel by those brats at home, and all of us desperately need a sweet little girl to lighten our mood.”
Shannon blushed instantly, thinking. They’re so nice to me, and got to repay their kindness. I guess I have to work harder and speed up to get Randall on board.
They left their address, and everything they bought would be sent home directly. After shopping for an afternoon, everyone was tired, so they went to the spa club, talking and laughing along the way.
The service provided, including changing clothes and massage, was first–class. Shannon narrowed her eyes comfortably.
The men of the Rowe family came back from work. Entering the door, they saw no one and were stunned, they quickly took out their phones to call their wives, who were at the spa and didn’t pick up.
Yolanda told them their wives were out shopping, which left them a bit dejected, feeling hurt that they were left behind.
Yet soon, they collected themselves and took out their phones again, transferring money to their wives.
Sitting on the sofa, Randall looked at his brothers nonchalantly. Don’t tell me you really think they’d go out without money. Don’t you think it’s a bit too late to transfer money to them now!
His eldest brother, Jenson Rowe, glanced at him, snorting, “Yeah, keep mocking. I’ll see if you can hold back the urge of transferring money to Shannon,”
Smiling, Randall propped himself up on the sofa with one hand and snorted, “I won’t. Unlike you, I’m not a simp
Jenson, Luke, and his second eldest brother Marshall Rowe, all glared at him; but they had to admit he wasn’t exactly wrong.
The ladies had no
idea what was going on at home, but Megan, Celia, Nicole, and even Audrey all received bank messages, reminding them that they had received money transfers from their husbands.
They looked at Shannon. “Did Randall transfer money to you?”
Figuring that she and Randall weren’t really a couple, Shannon didn’t think he’d do that. To her surprise, she saw the same transfer notification as she picked up her phone.
He even left a note: [You deserve the best, dear.]
She pulled a wry smile at his domineering words. Immediately, Nicole, who was closest to her, saw the note, too. Envious, she found Luke’s message not romantic at all, so she called him and scolded him harshly.
After hanging up the phone, Luke turned around and looked at Randall, gritting his teeth. “Jenson, Marshall, let’s give him a piece of our mind. He lied. He mocked us for being simps, but he transferred money and even left a note with sweet nothings.”
Jenson widened his eyes. “What? Randall, you liar. It seems we need to discipline you properly.”

Smiling gently, Marshall said nothing, removed his gold–rimmed glasses, and rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, revealing his sturdy forearms.
The four instantly got into a fight, which was more like a game for them to move their muscles and joints. The servants were used to it and continued their work, knowing the result already. Sure enough, Jenson, Marshall, and Luke soon lost.
Randall smoothed his messy hair and looked at them, who were till panting. “Get some rest while I go pick up Shannon.”
They widened their eyes at once in disbelief. Unfortunately, they were so exhausted that they couldn’t even get up from the floor and could only watch as Randall went to please Shannon. They hit the floor in unison, regretting their unwise move.
Randall drove to the spa club; the reason why he appeared so doing on Shannon was simple. They were a couple in others eyes and ought to act affectionately, or his shrewd family members always urging him to get married would soon sense something off.
He had called Shannon on his way. After he arrived, he sat in his sports car with the hood open and rested his sleek arm on the steering wheel, tapping it casually.
His side face–stunningly handsome–attracted countless women on the street to turn around and look at him non–stop. A bold girl even came forward to get his number.
He looked up and looked past her back at Shannon walking out of the spa club. She had just finished doing the spa, and her skin, already flawless, was almost glowing. As she stood under the sun, everyone around her was overshadowed.
Smiling, Randall said to the girl, “Do you mind stepping aside? My wife is here.”
The girl turned around only to see Shannon; she gasped and blushed instantly, mumbling. “I didn’t know you were married. You weren’t wearing a ring. I thought… I’m sorry.”
He glanced thoughtfully at his bare ring finger.
Meanwhile, Shannon walked to the car and whistled, saying, “Handsome, are you alone? Looking for a date?”
He looked up at her, the corner of his mouth twitching. Then he opened the car door. “Get in.”
The girl who came up to him hadn’t left; hearing their conversation, she widened her eyes.
Shannon chuckled. She pulled open the door, got into the car, and wrapped her arms around his neck passionately. Before he reacted, she kissed him on the lips. “Hubby, I haven’t seen you all day. Did you miss me?”
Having mixed feelings, he looked at her rosy lips. His Adam’s apple bobbed a few times before he pushed her face away. “I know I’m handsome, but we’re in public. Have some restraint.
Snorting, she mumbled, “What a narcissist.”
He raised an eyebrow at her words, glanced at her, and said, his deep voice carrying a smile, “What did you say?”
She smiled, her eyes bright, “I mean, why should restrain myself when I’m with my husband?”
The way she talked made Randall puse his lips, swallowing a bit. He was about to say something when his phone rang; driving with one hand, he picked up the phone.
Just then, Shannon’s phone rang, too. Glancing at the screen, she saw it was Celeste, so she picked up.
while
In the next second, Celeste started to talk quickly. “Shannon, are you free tonight? Let’s hang out. I’ll pick you up at the door of the Rowe family’s estate later. You aren’t allowed to say no. Bye.*
