Randall felt the veins in his forehead throbbing. He thought, ‘We aren’t at home, yet Shannon keeps hitting on me. Worst of all, she’s so attractive. I’m a normal man; of course, I’m turned on. But she won’t get her way easily!
He snorted and forcibly pulled her arms off his neck. Seeing that she wouldn’t give up, he patted her butt. “Sit still.”
Shannon froze, blushing.
Then he stuffed her legs into the car, closed the car door, and got into the car from the other side.
Perhaps his punitive move startled her; she didn’t try again. Noticing that, he turned around only to see she was already asleep. Her head kept drooping in accordance with the rhythm of the car, looking adorable.
Randall smiled; in the next second, he suddenly felt something on his shoulder. Turned out it was her head; and she had stopped frowning, looking much at ease.
The smile on his face came to a pause. He stared at her, not pushing her away.
The chauffeur drove the car smoothly all the way, and soon, they arrived at the Rowe family’s estate.
Looking down, Randall noticed that Shannon was still asleep. He pinched her cheek, but she showed no sign of waking up. She even smiled brightly as if in some joyful dream.
Chuckling, he directly reached out, held her up in one arm, and took her to her bedroom.
As he placed her on the bed, she suddenly grabbed his tie.
“Hubby?” Her voice carried some uncertainty, and the somewhat confused look on her face made her much more seductive. She was like an immature enchantress unaware of her own allure.
Probably because of the alcohol, she licked her lip, feeling thirsty. “Hubby, I’m so thirsty.”
His gaze fell on her plump lips, and he was instantly overwhelmed by a strange feeling. Frowning, he wondered why he always had so little control when facing her.
He tensed; knowing she was doing it on purpose, he didn’t expose her. Instead, he pulled his tie out of her grip and straightened up. “I’ll have Yolanda fetch you a glass of water.”
As he turned to go out, she held his waist from behind.
Wrapping her slender arms around his waist tightly, she said in his ear, sounding innocent, “Hubby, this feels so cool. I’m burning…”
Then she slipped her hand neatly into the hem of his shirt and tapped his abs gently a few times.
Randall pressed her restless hand at once and turned around, looking at her, knowing what exactly she was up to. “Shannon, stop playing…”
He had hardly finished speaking when she suddenly leaned forward and deftly kissed him on the lips. Her soft, sweet lips distracted him greatly.
Obviously, she was seducing him.
She enchantingly winked at him, her eyes charming. “Hubby, do you want to play with me?”
He smiled. Suddenly, he clasped the back of her head with one hand and kissed her hard.

“If only you won’t regret it. His voice was deep, husky, and domineering, not allowing her to say no to him. What followed after was the romantic tension that filled the room.
He pushed up her black vest, revealing her flawless skin in stark contrast with the rough skin on his hand.
The night was getting deeper; like a beautiful rose, she lay on the bed, waiting to bloom. He grabbed her slender ankles. Suddenly, his phone in his pocket buzzed.
At first, he wanted to ignore it. Unfortunately, the buzzing sounds just wouldn’t stop no matter what.
Taking a deep breath, he stopped while frowning. He reached out, grasped his jacket from the floor, and took his phone out of his pocket.
Colin’s voice rang out, his tone urgent. “Mr. Rowe, something’s come up in the foreign branch. We really need you here.”
Randall got serious at once. He picked up the shirt on the floor with one hand and put it on while asking sternly, “What happened?”
Lying in bed, Shannon sighed, knowing that her plan failed again.
She wrapped herself tightly in the blanket. When she heard him say he was going to the office, she waved her hand feebly, frustrated. “Just go.”
She thought, ‘I really need a thorough plan next time. Why do I keep failing such an easy task? When can I ever finish my mission if things keep going like this?
Phave made no progress at all. The money is burning a hole in my pocket! Audrey and the others are so nice to me in the way I feel like I don’t deserve it.‘
Randall had left, but she somehow could still hear his voice and smell his scent.
She threw off the blanket and went barefoot to the bathroom to take a bath.
When she returned, she changed the sheets in annoyance with the belief that the sheets were the cause of her bad luck.
The next day, Shannon got up early in the morning and went to school as usual.
She didn’t have many classes. After doing the experiment following her tutor’s instructions, she added a few more data and packed up for home.
When she stepped out of the school, she saw Miriam standing there, which was not within her expectations.
Miriam was wearing a white dress. The young and innocent–looking girl was standing under a tree, attracting the eyes of every passerby.
When she saw Shannon, her eyes lit up. She smiled gently, making her face even more charming
“Shannon!” She waved at Shannon, looking very surprised; no one else could tell their relationship was actually pretty tense. Shannon rolled her eyes in disgust, not stopping walking at all as if she hadn’t known Miriam.
Miriam, however, didn’t look upset at all. She walked over quickly with a cheeky smile on her face when she said, somehow complaining, “Shannon, didn’t you hear me?”
Shannon glanced at her and said flatly, “Do I even know you? How did you know my name? Stop pretending that we’re close, which is just sickening. Now, will you please get out of my way?”

Upon seeing Shannon’s cold face, Miriam looked stunned for a second. As if what she had just heard was too hard for her, she bit her lip and stumbled backward.
Looking at Shannon in disbelief, she said, sounding puzzled, “Shannon?”
Deadpan, Shannon walked straight past her and on.
Instantly, Miriam’s face turned pale. She was stunned for quite a while before she caught up with Shannon and asked tentatively, “Shannon, are you still mad at me?”
