Dudley stumbled and fell to the ground. He had never been humiliated like this, and his eyes turned red. He got up from the ground and charged at Shannon. “You’re doomed, Shannon,
Shannon snorted, not intimidated at all, as she was confident that Dudley was no match for her. To her surprise, Randall came back at the same time. He kicked Dudley before the latter could approach her with a ferocious face.
Seeing this, Clifford, Todd, and Craig pulled a long face, and one of them said in a deep voice, “Randall, what do you mean? Do you want a fight?”
With a snort, Randall loosened his cuff and tie with one hand. “You came here to pick on my wife. I should be asking you this. Guess your family has been doing too well these days; you’re so full of yourselves.”
Randall’s expression was sarcastic, arrogant, and dignified as he asked, “You actually think you get to go against us, the Rowes?”
The Lanes had been fawned on since they were little. In their eyes, they were the future heirs of the Lane family, and there was no reason they ought to be looked down upon by Randall.
I one of them snapped “What do you mean, Randall? Do you despise us? You’re a They were all on the verge of losing it, and Rowe. Or you wouldn’t have been better than us in any way at all
Before Randall could say a word, Shannon laughed, “How laughable. Please. I mean, look at yourselves. You are no match for Randall even with your family background, let alone without it.
“Randall skipped six grades in a row when he was a student, finished his MBA when he was twenty, and took law and computer science as his elective courses. After returning home, he took over the family business and tripled its profits every
year.
“For all the investments he made, he always had lucrative rewards. They call him the Golden Hand in case you don’t know. “At such a young age, he took over Regal Enterprises and brought it to an unprecedented level. What qualifies you to compare yourselves to him? Your incompetency, laziness, or cheekiness? After all, you’re almost thirty, yet you’ve achieved nothing.”
Before the four could react, she sneered with disdain, “You don’t even get to be mentioned in the same sentence as Randall. It’s so insulting to him. Sorry, Randall. I shouldn’t have compared you to losers.”
The four found her comment too much to take and could no longer hold back.
In Lorston, they weren’t as formidable as Randall, but at least they were buttered up wherever they went. Yet Shannon- their biological sister–called them losers, which was simply unacceptable.
“Seriously, Shannon? You belittle us after you married Randall? You really think he loves you? He’s using you. But you messed with us because of him. When you’re no use for him, he dump you,” Clifford roared at first.
Todd pulled him and sneered, “Clifford, save your breath. She sides with Randall completely. Why waste your time trying to talk sense into an ingrate?”
Shannon rolled her eyes and looked at them coldly, wrapping her arms around her chest. “Yeah, yeah. Miriam is so grateful. Go stay with her then. I said clearly; I already cut ties with you. Is that so hard for you to understand?”
Hearing this, Dudley calmed down a bit. “We wanted to be nice, but thanks for reminding us we’ve cut ties. Now, we’re going
on Miriam and must apologize to her today, or we’ll make sure you do.” to do this the hard way. You picked
Shannon no longer felt a thing when hearing they take Miriam’s side. She said seriously, her words icy. “You’re here to cause trouble, and before we find fault with you, you want me to apologize to her? Sure enough, you’re family. You’re nothing but

“Shannon, enough is enough. I’ve been putting up with you for long time already.” Craig couldn’t stand it anymore. Het pointed at her, his face sullen.
She looked at him indifferently. “I hate it when people point their fingers at me.”
“So what? You know what? I’ll take you away today to make you apologize to Miriam,” Craig smiled coldly and was about to grasp her wrist.
Standing next to Shannon, Randall grabbed him by the wrist and pinned him to the ground, saying sternly, “Really? You want to take my wife away while I’m standing right here? Did I say you got to do this? Guess I mean nothing to you.”
Seeing Craig at a disadvantage, the three couldn’t hold back anymore and came forward at once, thinking the same thing, ‘No matter how good Shannon and Randall are at fighting, all four of us are here with bodyguards. Surely, we can take Shannon away today.
The scene became chaotic at once; several bodyguards took advantage and tried to tie Shannon up with ropes. Yet she dodged nimbly, kicked them to the ground, and stepped on their bellies one by one.
The bodyguards, though beefy and strong, suddenly seemed to have lost all their strength. They lay on the ground, unable to move at all.
“You brought ropes? How shameless.” Worried about Shannon, Audrey followed Shannon out. She had been at the back enjoying the drama. Seeing the ropes, she pulled a long face at once and ordered Nicole, “Call the police. Tell them we’ve got kidnappers here.”
Then she added, “Bring me some snacks on your way back.” In fact, she stopped worrying when she saw Randall. Since there were only four Rowes, she was certain Randall could kick their asses because Randall wasn’t some useless loser.
To her surprise, though Shannon looked delicate, she was as capable as Randall. She couldn’t help but smile, feeling glad that Randall was lucky enough to marry Shannon.
She thought, “The Lanes are so stupid. They actually choose Miriam, the good–for–nothing, over Shannon, who’s perfect in every way. They’ll surely regret it in the future.”
