The couple’s third son, Todd Lane, pulled a long face while looking at Shannon, saying, “I get that you feel unfair, Shannon. but we’re doing our best to make it up to you. Stop being so unreasonable.”
Hearing this. Shannon took a deep breath and leaned against the sofa lazily, her eyes mixed with growing coldness and sadness.

Lincoln’s words were like a knife, cutting Shannon’s heart into pieces. She thought after years, nothing could hurt her anymore, yet she still couldn’t help but cry.
Smiling bitterly, she stood up slowly, walked to Randall’s gifts, and took an emerald necklace. “If I’m not mistaken, this is ‘Mercury‘, the very last lot of the auction in Everinland last month. It was auctioned off to Mrs. Rowe at 60 million dollars.”
While saying that, she put the necklace around Miriam’s neck. Te’s yours now, Mom, Dad. I think this is enough to repay you. for bringing me into the world. It’s worth way more than the money you’ve spent on my expenses over the years.
