The punched reporter was always surrounded by flattery; many ars and rich people paid him to be quiet about their scandals. Yet today. Shannon slapped him, which totally humiliated him and enraged him.

She was puzzled. Though she was there last night, she had never left Randall’s villa, so no one else should have seen her. She asked, “You know me?”

Thanking him with a smile, she then parked the car and walked toward Daniel and Audrey’s villa, her footsteps heavy. She didn’t know whether Randall had told his family about their marriage, but she was sure Audrey wouldn’t be friendly, for no woman could accept their excellent son getting married in the blink of an eye, with a notorious woman no less.
Yet no matter what, Shannon had to meet Audrey, her mother–in–law, sooner or later; she might as well play to the score. As she expected, she saw all the Rowes except Randall the second she stepped into the living room.
Just as she was about to speak, a few big sounds rang out; then countless celebratory streamers filled the room, which left her stunned, wondering if this was some way of intimidating her.
Before she could dwell on it, Audrey, in a purple elegant dress, came to her, smiling, “Shannon, right? Randall didn’t tell us he got married–What a brat. We didn’t have time to get preparations, and those mean reporters even gave you a hard time. I’m so sorry about that.”
