Chapter 9: Forced to Save My Enemy
Chapter 9: Forced to Save My Enemy
(Olivia’s POV)
“Is someone dying?” I asked groggily, the Moonlight Herb sedative still clouding my thoughts as I opened the
door.
Graham’s clothes were scattered and his shirt was still stained with blood, a far cry from his earlier appearance, his face covered in panic and anger.
“Is Bella dying?” I couldn’t resist the sarcastic jab, even in my drowsy state.
“Olivia, why are you talking so viciously now? “My words ignited the anger in his eyes.
But he was faster than I was, and he brutally blocked the door and barged right into my quarters, completely ignoring my protests.
I was too sleepy to argue with him and pushed him away as I prepared to close the door.
“Graham! Get out of my house! I’ll call the Pack Enforcers!” I threatened, but he was already grabbing my arm.
“Bella is critically ill, her life is on the line,” he barked, dragging me toward the door. “You have to come to the
Northern Territory Medical Center with me!”
I tried to pull away, but his grip was iron. “Let go of me! I’m not going anywhere!”
“Her heart failure has affected her blood production! She needs a blood transfusion immediately!” His voice
cracked with desperation.
Before I could process what was happening, he had me in his car, speeding through the night toward the
medical center. The streetlights blurred past as my sedative–addled mind struggled to understand.
“Why me?” I demanded, finally finding my voice. “Call her mother! Call the pack healers!”
Graham’s knuckles were white on the steering wheel. “Her blood type is rare. You’re the only compatible
donor available.”
The medical center loomed ahead, its emergency lights casting an ominous glow. Graham practically carried me through the automatic doors into the sterile brightness of the emergency ward.
The scene that greeted me was chaos. Gloria paced frantically near a treatment room, her face streaked with tears. Ambrose stood nearby, looking haggard and older than I’d ever seen him.
“Finally!” Gloria rushed toward us. “Where have you been? Bella is dying!”
I stared at them in disbelief. “Why do you think I would give her blood? Is her life a life, and mine is less than
an omega’s?”
Graham’s response was chillingly pragmatic. “She will die without a transfusion. You’ve given me blood for years after battles, and you were fine.”
The casual way he dismissed my concerns sent rage coursing through my veins. Years of donating blood to
help him recover from territorial disputes, and this was how he repaid me.
Gloria stepped forward, her eyes blazing. “This is all your fault! The chaos at the ceremony, the stress–it

triggered her condition!”

“My fault?” I laughed bitterly. “She stole my handcrafted ceremonial gown and my mating ceremony! You forced me to be a witness to my own humiliation!”
Graham tried a different approach, his voice softening. “Little Livvy, please. You’ve always been kind,” compassionate. We’re still connected through your father’s pack.”
I scoff at his manipulative tactics.” Why do I have to be the one to donate? Isn’t her biological father, the one with the special blood type, here?”
The silence that followed was deafening. Graham’s face went pale.“What do you mean? Biological father?” “All these years and you didn’t even realize? Bella and Thomas are my half–siblings,” I sneer, observing the look of shock that sweeps across Graham’s face.” It’s a Oasis Pack secret, a scandal.”
Gloria’s face contorted with rage as she and Ambrose tried to stop me, but were stopped by Graham.
I continued unflinchingly, “Gloria was my father’s first love, and my father mated with my mother after he realized that she was his destined mate. But while they were mating, he didn’t break it off with Gloria and kept the affair going. So as not to tarnish his Alpha’s reputation, he also mated Gloria with a warrior he trusted, giving Bella and Thomas a legitimate identity.”
“That’s not-” Gloria started, but I cut her off.
“My grandfather, William Brooks, had built a successful business empire. Ambrose not only didn’t leave my mother alone after she found out about his affair and left him, he took away my grandfather’s business, leading to the deaths of William and my mother as a result.”
Ambrose glared at me angrily, but I wasn’t afraid anymore; now that Moonlight Design was completely in my hands, I didn’t want to put up with it anymore.
“After my mother died, I was left with nothing and was ready to go to the United Council of Wolves and sue
Ambrose for his actions, Ambrose made a trade with me for his own honor, he let me go back to the Oasis
Pack and I kept my mouth shut about the scandal.”
Graham stared at me, processing this revelation. But quickly, he rationalized it away.
“Even so, it wasn’t Bella who was at fault, and she’s innocent, and she’s already so sick.” He said in despair.
My anger exploded. “Innocent? She’s competed with me since childhood! She bullied me, stole from me, and now she’s stolen my mate–to–be and my ceremony!”
“Those grievances are unrelated to the current life–or–death crisis,” Graham dismissed.
Then he resorted to his usual tactic–emotional manipulation. His voice became pleading, vulnerable.
“Little Livvy, I’m sorry. I know I’ve hurt you, but please, save her. I’m begging you.”
I saw through his act immediately. But an idea formed in my mind.
“I’ll save her,” I said slowly, “but it depends on your sincerity.”
Hope flickered in Graham’s eyes, but I turned to my father instead.
“Ambrose, I want the return of all assets and controlling shares of the company that belonged to my
grandfather William Brooks. The business you stole from my mother’s family.”

Ambrose’s face darkened. “Olivia, this isn’t the time-”
“It’s exactly the time,” I interrupted. “Those assets rightfully belong to me.”
Gloria grabbed Ambrose’s arm. “Just agree! Bella is dying!”
After a heated whispered exchange, Ambrose nodded reluctantly. “Fine. You’ll get the shares.”
I turned back to Graham. “And you–one million dollars for every 100cc of blood.”
Graham’s eyes widened, but he didn’t hesitate. “Agreed.”
“We need a formal pack agreement,” I insisted. “Written, signed, and sealed.”
They scrambled to draft the terms while I watched with cold satisfaction. Graham, Ambrose, and Gloria
exchanged relieved glances as they signed, seemingly congratulating themselves on finding a solution.
Gloria eagerly beckoned to a pack healer waiting nearby. “Take her for the blood draw immediately!”
The healer approached with medical equipment, preparing to escort me to the donation room.

I smiled faintly and asked, “Can you donate blood after taking a strong dose of Moonlight Herb sedative?”
