The elevator door closed, blocking the view.
Alice glanced at the supervisor and said, “Don’t worry. It’s a fair competition. The Wilson Group is in business for profits, not for relationships. If our product is excellent enough, the Wilson Group will definitely invest in us.”

Alice held a glass of wine.“I don’t drink alcohol. My family doesn’t allow it.”
“Alright then, let’s catch up another time,” the man said, his expression changing instantly as he put down his glass and left.
The atmosphere became somewhat awkward.
Alice explained to the supervisor, “I don’t drink alcohol.”

Alice excused herself to go to the bathroom because she didn’t want to stay in the private room any longer.
She stepped outside and suddenly looked upstairs.
She had heard that the heir of the Wilson Group was upstairs.

Alice noticed a waiter guarding the elevator, so she quietly took the stairs up.
However, before she could reach it, a bodyguard in black stopped her.

“Let go of me. I’m here to meet Mr. Wilson,” Alice insisted.
In the end, Alice was stopped by the bodyguard in the corner.

She looked up as the elevator doors opened, and a group of bodyguards in black stepped out, forming two rows,

After ending the call, Alice stood up, dusted off her skirt, and decided to head back for now.

Chloe heard Alice’s voice as she went to the bathroom. She had assumed that she had misheard.
Alice turned to look at Chloe, rolling her eyes.“None of your business!”
“Alice, why do you have to compete with me? You even ran away from home in a huff. You have more live streaming fans and better exam scores.
“But your achievements are nothing in Washington!
“You’re nothing without the Welch family.”
Alice let out a cold smile.“Oh, maybe I should just tell Ethan that I’m coming home.”
Chloe’s expression froze. She didn’t want Alice to come back to the Welch family at all.
She wished Alice would never return, so she could be the only beloved daughter of the Welch family, pampered by her
six brothers.

Ethan glared at his secretary.“What are you waiting for? Call the police and have her arrested”

Alice heard a familiar voice and saw Jack coming down the hallway,
She was surprised and asked, “When did you get to Washington?”
She never expected to see Jack here.
Jack’s face was stern, but when he reached Alice, his expression softened,“Are you okay?”
“I’m OK. What could happen to me?”
Alice walked up to Jack.“Let’s go.”
“Stop right there!” Ethan coldly stared at Alice. “If you dare to leave, you’ll become a fugitive when the police get here!”
He was determined to teach Alice a lesson today.
