The middle–aged director stepped forward.“Everyone else, please disperse. We’ll handle this and issue a notification later.”
They had to clear the room to prevent the situation from escalating.
After they left, the director said, “Mr. Welch, I don’t need to explain the truth. According to the rules, your bid will be disqualified.”

Alice looked at the representative.“I’m fine. We’ll deal with this legally.”

The representative was also angered by the Welch family. How could they be that biased? It was like Alice was the culprit! She was the victim!

Chloe suddenly spoke up.“Ethan, Alice deliberately gave me the documents and asked me to use them. She knew I’d give them to you, so she could expose us and disqualify the Welch Group!”

Tears welled in Chloe’s eyes.“Alice threatened me with the bar surveillance footage. She had backups. If I refused, she’d give it to the Garcia family and tell them I’d kept the video of Max’s crime. I was scared. I had to do it!”
Hearing Chloe’s lies, Alice couldn’t help but speak.“Chloe, were you a storyteller in your previous life?”

Chloe’s face paled. She wasn’t sure if this would work. She’d received a message from her father.“Alice doesn’t have a backup of the surveillance video.”
Chloe had gambled. At worst, it wouldn’t be any worse. She was betting Alice couldn’t show the video.
Ethan snorted, “Alice, you want to show the bar’s surveillance footage, right? I don’t want to see it!”

Luke looked at Alice. He wanted to see the footage Noah had seen. Was Chloe’s account of spraying Alice true?
Even without the video, Luke had seen Chloe lie just now. He already had his answer. He should’ve trusted Noah in the beginning.
Ethan glared at Luke.“Don’t look. What’s to see?”
Seeing Ethan’s support, Chloe felt triumphant. She’d won her gamble. Even if Alice had a backup, Ethan wouldn’t side

Chloe said lightly, “Ethan, everything I did at the bar was forced by Max. I didn’t mean to.”
“I believe you.”
Ethan looked at Alice.“You have no leverage now. Let’s see what you do.”
Chloe was secretly pleased. Alice could no longer touch her.

Alice took out her phone, playing a video. It showed Chloe was using Alice’s laptop and taking photos with her phone.
