Alice saw through Caleb’s charade.
He wanted her to drop the lawsuit.
Alice smirked.“I won’t file a lawsuit.”
Caleb smiled and felt pleased. He knew Alice was very smart and knew what she should say.
Alice shoved Caleb away.“Because I didn’t do that. The Maple Company filed a lawsuit against Luke for stealing trade
secrets.”
Caleb’s smile faded. It was unexpected that Alice was so uncooperative.
Alice crushed the confetti canister and coldly glared at the fans before walking away.
Seeing the crushed canister, fans didn’t dare to stop Alice.
Caleb dismissed the fans and chased after Alice.“Stop! I didn’t ask you to leave.”
Caleb’s face was grim.“Chloe apologized, and I blamed Ethan. They knew they were wrong. Now I gave you an out. What do you want?”
“That should be my line. The public doesn’t know Ethan was involved. If it is exposed, your Best Actor nomination
will be ruined.”
Alice hit a nerve by mentioning his nomination.
Caleb’s face turned livid.“Alice, you’re threatening me? You’ve grown, and become rebellious.”
Alice said firmly, “I’m doing this for your good. Don’t get involved.”
“I just want our family to be peaceful. Ethan made a mistake, and I’ll ask him to apologize. Tell me what you want, and I will try my best.”
Alice sneered.“I want you to stay away from me.”
She left. Caleb didn’t give up and chased after her.“You think the media will believe you over me?
“Have a try.
“Alice, if you leave, your classmate and roommate will have trouble.”
Alice stopped, annoyed.
She turned to Caleb, and said sarcastically, “Since childhood, you’ve only used violence. What else can you do?”
“Alice, say that again!”
Caleb’s face darkened, grabbing Alice’s wrist tightly.
Alice easily broke free. She was so strong that Caleb couldn’t control her.
Caleb was shocked. After all, Alice used to be obedient and afraid of him.
Alice said coldly, “You can’t beat me anymore.”

Caleb said maliciously, “You don’t care if your friends get hurt?”
“Mr. Caleb, did you forget the scripts for your TV drama on the air and the upcoming movie? I created them but they are under your and Chloe’s names, right?”
Caleb narrowed his eyes. “What do you mean? The scripts were our collaborative effort.”

Chloe shrank her neck.“Alice pushed me down.”
“It’s impossible. Alice didn’t push you. You didn’t stand firmly, right?”
Caleb stared at Chloe, and alerted her.
Chloe nodded, and whispered, “I tripped.”
“That’s right.”
Caleb smiled at Alice.“Look, I’m on your side. Stop saying I’m biased.”
Alice found this ridiculous.
She slapped Chloe.

Alice turned round and went inside, refusing to cooperate.
