Chapter 258
Alice smirked. Even Ethan had his breaking point. Caleb and Noah stood beside her, openly supporting her.
Ethan pointed at Caleb and Noah and shouted, “You two ingrates! If it weren’t for me, your companies wouldn’t exist! Now shares to Alice? Have you all gone mad?”

Noah chuckled bitterly.“Ethan, you’re the mad one. Alice is our sister, not our enemy!” He couldn’t understand Ethan’s actions.
Chloe, beside herself with anger, couldn’t believe Caleb and Noah were siding with Alice. They even wanted to transfer their shares to Alice. If Alice became the majority shareholder, her plan would fail. Chloe was furious.
Chloe didn’t want to give up. She said, “Noah, you know how much Ethan has sacrificed for the family. He gave you shares out of brotherhood. Ganging up on him is cruel.”
“Don’t try that moral high ground crap,” Alice cut her off.“He took all the family assets to start his business. It was everyone’s investment. The share dividends are only fair.”
Chloe’s eyes welled up.“Ethan, if I had shares, I’d never betray you.”
Ethan was furious and speechless, dumbfounded by the turn of events. He looked at Noah and Caleb.“Are you sure you want to side with Alice and go against me?”
Noah replied, “Ethan, I’m not against you. Giving the company to Chloe is worse than giving it to Alice. At least Alice’s scripts made the company a lot of money.”
“Humph, you’ve forgotten Alice sending Luke and Caleb to prison? She’s cold and heartless towards the Welch family. Have you forgotten?” Ethan was truly heartbroken. He hadn’t expected his brothers to turn against him. He’d done all this for the family.
Caleb answered sharply, “Ethan, are you out of your mind? That was my fault back then. I wanted to break her limbs and teach her a lesson. I was misled by Chloe. I was wrong. It was my mistake and Chloe’s, not Alice’s.
“As for Luke’s matter, Chloe stole Alice’s documents and brought Luke down. Luke wasn’t innocent, but the culprit was Chloe. Alice was the victim!”
Ethan gritted his teeth.“Alice set them up.”
“Did Alice force Chloe to steal her documents? No. We were wrong from the start!”
Caleb grabbed Ethan’s collar, pointing at Chloe.“This woman is the culprit. Both incidents were because of her!”
Seeing this, Chloe said pitifully, “Caleb, I only did that to help Noah’s company win the bid. And you attacking Alice has nothing to do with me. You’ve always used violence since we were children.”
Hearing this, Caleb exploded.
Ethan pushed Caleb away.“I know Chloe better than you. She’s clumsy, but she’s not malicious.”
Hearing “not malicious,” Alice almost burst out laughing.
She didn’t bother explaining.“Do whatever you want with Chloe, but you have no say over the company. Chloe’s fired.”
Caleb regained his composure and said, “Ethan, I built this company. Chloe doesn’t deserve it.”
“I’ve already signed Chloe to an artist contract. She’ll star in several projects, including a supporting role in the upcoming movie.” Ethan remained arrogant.“The contract is binding. If you want to break it, you’ll have to pay Chloe a hefty sum.”
Alice chuckled. Ethan always excelled at being a jerk. He’d already arranged everything for Chloe, so fast!
Caleb sneered, “So what? The company has its own plans. Chloe’s acting is atrocious.”
As long as Ethan wasn’t in charge, Chloe wouldn’t get any good resources.
Alice smirked at Chloe, “As the boss, I have to say. Improve your acting. Earn money for the company. Oh, wait. Your acting is superb. Being an actress is perfect for you.”
Chloe’s face twisted with rage. She wanted to be the boss, to call the shots. But Alice had stolen everything. It was unbearable.

Caleb mocked, “Her acting sucks. She’s only good at playing the innocent victim in the Welch family. She’s nothing outside of that.”
Chloe, tears welling up, ran out of the room. It was too humiliating.
Ethan looked at Alice. “You’re quite something. You actually got them to side with you!”
“It’s not my skill, but because I’m right, and they feel guilty.” She wasn’t sure how long that guilt would last, but she just needed to push Chloe to a breaking point and force her backers to reveal themselves.
“Fine, Alice. Don’t think you’ve won.”
Noah said, “Ethan, you wanted us to be a family again, right? Alice won’t press charges against Caleb and Luke. You should keep your promise and let Alice return.”
Ethan tugged at his tie.“I did, but have certain people truly repented?”
Alice said indifferently, “I’m not the one who needs to repent.”
“That’s right. It shouldn’t be Alice. We need to repent.”
Luke entered and looked at Alice apologetically. “I was a fool, manipulated by Chloe. Caleb’s right. I’m not innocent. I’ll transfer my shares to you as compensation.”
Caleb followed suit.“Alice, we were wrong. Luke, Noah, and I all need to apologize to you. You did nothing wrong.”
Alice remained silent. Noah approached.“Alice, we know we were wrong. Please come home.”
Alice noticed Chloe at the doorway. Chloe dreamt of kicking Alice out and taking her place. That was also her father’s dream. Alice wouldn’t let them succeed.
She smirked, “Fine, I accept the reconciliation!”
If she pretended to return to the Welch family, Chloe and her backers would be forced to act.
After Alice spoke, Chloe emerged, looking pitiful at Ethan.“Ethan, will you accept her back?” Chloe thought, “You bitch, Alice. Why do you come back?”
