When Lenora and Sophia returned to the forest campsite from the lighthouse, the tour guide, along with the other tourists, had already cleared a spot in preparation for a bonfire.
Lenora and Sophia had brought along instant pasta. Sausages paired with grilled skewers accompanied the meal. Having such provisions in the wilderness was already quite satisfying.
Maxton assisted the tour guide in distributing food.
“Ladies, here are your coffees Maxton brought over two paper cups, offering one each to Lenora and Sophia “If it’s not enough, feel free to get more from over there.
“All right. Thank you.” Lenora replied as she accepted the coffee. After taking a sip, she set it aside.
A glint of hidden intent flashed in Maxton’s eyes.
Calvin was somewhat neurotic, always carrying sleeping pills with him whenever he left home. Surprisingly, after he started traveling. his sleep improved significantly. He even joked about bringing sleeping pills for nothing.
Yet, the sleeping pills had come in handy.
After dinner, Lenora cradled her coffee, sipping it delicately.

The tour guide unloaded several bottles of beer from the bus and turned to the travelers gathered around the bonfire. “We have beer here. Anyone fancy a drink?”
Not many were interested in drinking beer. Only about five or six people voiced their preference for it.
The tour guide handed each of them a bottle and looked around. “None of you are drinking? Look at this moonlight, this beautiful scenery, and our fellow compatriots. Such opportunities are rare. Are you sure you don’t want to take a sip? Consider this beer as a beverage. It won’t get you drunk.”
Upon hearing the tour guide’s suggestion, a few more people asked for beers. Sophia also went to get two bottles. When she returned, she tossed one to Lenora and said. “Times like these are rare. Let’s have a
drink.”
Lenora took it, pulling open the pull–tab.
In a foreign land, amidst the wilderness, a group of familiar strangers sat facing each other. They admired the beautiful scenery while engaging in deep conversations.
Given the situation and the atmosphere, Lenora indeed felt like having a beer.
She wasn’t sure if her alcohol tolerance had decreased, but Lenora felt lightheaded after having only half a bottle of beer. Her eyelids were heavy, constantly fighting to close, and she couldn’t stop yawning. She was completely out of energy.
Upon seeing the state Lenora was in, Sophia inquired, “How did you end up so exhausted?”
“I didn’t get a good rest last night.”

The previous day, with tears in her eyes, she said to Zachary, “I just want you to stay away from me.”
After enduring for a long time, Zachary finally agreed. With a sense of desolation, he turned and walked
away.
Lenora couldn’t quite decipher his demeanor. As she lay in bed that night, every time she closed her eyes, her mind was filled with the image of Zachary’s desolate gaze and his lonely silhouette. She tossed and turned until the late hours of the night, sleep cluding her.
“Don’t tell me you’re scared of those obsessive fans. Why don’t you go back to the tent and rest? There’s nothing much to see now that it’s dark,” Sophia suggested.
The main event at that time was everyone gathering to chat and play games. Not participating didn’t really
matter.
“I guess I’ll head back to the tent now,” Lenora said as she set down her beer. After bidding the tour guide farewell, she was the first to return to the tent.

The tent shared by Lenora and Sophia was situated a fair distance from the bonfire, nestled within the forest. Of course, there were two other tents that were even further away.
Insect repellent had been scattered around, so there was no need to worry about snakes or mosquitoes.
Lenora unzipped the tent and slipped inside, zipping it back up once she was settled. She pulled the thin blanket over her body, placed her phone to one side, and closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
Not much time had passed when Lenora was awakened by the heat, kicking off the blanket that was on her.
In a state of semi–consciousness, she thought she heard the sound of a zipper being pulled open. With her eyes still closed, she asked in a drowsy voice, “Soph, is the bonfire over?”
The sound of a zipper halted, but no one responded.
After asking that, Lenora rolled over and fell back asleep.
When the sounds within the tent ceased, the sound of a zipper echoed once again. As the zipper was pulled open, a figure subtly slipped inside.
Holding his breath, Maxton didn’t dare to turn on the light. Instead, he relied on the moonlight filtering through the mesh opening at the top of the tent to survey the layout inside.
Observing Lenora deeply asleep, Maxton carefully reached out to undress Lenora.
That was his first time doing something like that, and his hands wouldn’t stop shaking.
“It’s so hot…”
Whispering softly, Lenora raised her hand to wipe her forehead, even though there was no sweat on it.
The intense heat within her body was unbearable, leaving her in discomfort.

Maxton was completely stiff. He was afraid to wake Lenora, and he dared not move an inch. Has the medicine started to take effect

Lenora grasped Maxton’s hand, instinctively pressing it against her face to alleviate the intense heat radiating from within her body.
Yet, it was not enough. The slight chill was still insufficient, and she yearned for more.
Upon feeling a surge of joy, Maxton grew a bit bolder and whispered, “Ms. Wilkin, don’t worry. I’m going to satisfy you shortly.”
He was just about to continue undressing Lenora when footsteps suddenly echoed from outside.
Maxton became anxious, and he held his breath. Could it be that Sophia has returned? What should I do? What should I do?
He quickly laid down, closing his eyes, pretending as if he had accidentally wandered into the wrong tent
If someone were to pass by, that would be ideal. If it were Sophia returning, it would also make things easier to explain.

He lay in the tent, his mind filled with guilt and wandering thoughts. Before long, he had succumbed to a deep sleep.
After an indeterminate amount of time had passed, a shout shocked him awake.
In a daze, he managed to get up and peered out of the tent, only to find out that it was Sophia who had shouted.
The tour guide walked over and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Nora… My friend… She’s gone!” Sophia said with a look of distress on her face. “She said she was coming back to sleep!”
