Lenora stared at Miles, her eyes wide with astonishment. 

Zachary has a deal with Susanna for my sake? So, were all the resources provided to Susanna, including the dinner party, Susanna’s demands?

With a scoff, Lenora said, “Zachary is really naive. Did he really think that Susanna would testify just because he agreed to those terms? She would never.”

Therefore, if you tell me that he had a deal with Susanna because of me, I won’t believe it. His recent poor mood isn’t because of me either. It might be due to something else 

Miles was utterly flabbergasted, unable to regain his senses for a while.
