The car pulled into the hospital, Zachary found a parking spot and parked. With familiar ease, he located the psychiatrist’s office and knocked before entering.
“Mr. Fuller has arrived. Ms. Carston’s diagnosis for today has concluded. Her condition has not improved, but rather, it has worsened. I just administered a sedative to help her sleep.”
When Zachary heard this, his expression turned solemn. “I understand.”
“Mr. Fuller, I hope you take this matter to heart. Ms. Carston’s condition had significantly improved before, but in the past couple of days, it has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. There’s a chance it could develop into severe depression, and that would be quite difficult to
handle.”
“Indeed.” Zachary nodded in agreement.
Upon learning about his marriage, Susanna was deeply affected, causing her condition to
worsen.
He walked to the bedside, looking at Susanna’s pale face, feeling an exceptional sense of guilt
in his heart.
Once upon a time, there was a girl who was gentle and lively. However, due to her struggle with mental illness, her personality drastically changed, and she attempted suicide several times. He knew he could not let her down.
Zachary was seated on the stool beside the bed.
After an indeterminate amount of time, Susanna woke up in a daze. “Zack, is that you? Am I dreaming? How come you’re here?”
“Susanna, it’s me. I’ve come to see you,” Zachary said to her with a gentle smile.
She lifted her face, her expression gentle. “Zack, you’re not working tomorrow, so would accompany me for a shopping trip?”
“All right.”

After returning from the police station, Lenora resumed her work.
Lola had been constantly keeping an eye on the outside, noticing Lenora returning by herself.

At noon, Allison made a phone call. “How is it, Nora? Did he attend the charity dinner last night? How did he find it?”
Based on the old lady’s tone, she evidently had no idea that Susanna had also attended the charity banquet..
Lenora chuckled and responded, “It’s quite nice. The desserts were delicious.”
Allison chuckled. “All you know is to eat desserts. Didn’t you let Zack buy you any jewelry or something?”
“Zack gifted me a bangle. It’s quite beautiful.”
“All right, all right. When you have time, bring it back for me to sec. I wonder what kind of bangle it is.” Allison was overjoyed, secretly thinking that this rascal was quite considerate.
“Okay.”
“By the way, Nora, I have two tickets to the grand theater for tomorrow night. It’s for that famous. group of ballet dancers that are touring Jacaster. Someone gave them to me, but it’s not really my thing. Why don’t you and Zack go? I’m sure you young folks will enjoy it.”
“Uh…”
It was understood, without needing to be said, that this was Allison’s second attempt at matchmaking.
Lenora wasn’t sure if this was good or bad.
Upon seeing Lenora’s hesitation, Allison immediately reassured her, “Don’t worry. I will personally speak to Zack. Would he dare not to go?”

It was unclear when Zachary returned to the company. Before finishing work, he sent a WhatsApp message to Lenora: Wait for me after work. Let’s go home together
Lenora responded with a single word: Okay.
Just as Lenora was about to turn off her phone screen, a WhatsApp message from Sophia
came in.
SugarSoph: “Nora, do you want to go shopping tomorrow? It’s Saturday.”
Recently, Lenora indeed hadn’t been out shopping, and with the arrival of the new fashion season, she feared she would be too busy to go shopping.

After work, Lenora and Zachary went home together.
“Has everything been taken care of at the police station?” Zachary asked.
“Yes, it’s been taken care of.”
“Did Grandma mention going to see the dance tomorrow night to you?”
Lenora looked at him. “Did you promise Grandma?”

“Have you ever considered that what we’re doing isn’t right? If one day, news of our divorce. were to be announced, it would surely break Grandma’s heart. You shouldn’t have agreed so readily. Even an occasional refusal would give Grandma some peace of mind.”
Zachary sneered, “Why didn’t you refuse?”
“I wasn’t the one who proposed the divorce, so why should I be cast as the villain?”
“Didn’t you also want to divorce? What’s the difference, then?”
Lenora didn’t offer any excuses, instead changing the subject. “I have plans with someone tomorrow. Just make sure you arrive at the grand theater on time.”
“Suit yourself.”
Zachary turned his head to look out the window, falling silent.
The car pulled into the mansion, with the two individuals alighting one after the other.
“Mr. Fuller, Mrs. Fuller, you’ve returned.”
Miranda was quite surprised. She knew that there had been issues between the couple, as it had been rare to see them return home together these past few days.
“Miranda, what’s for dinner tonight?” Lenora asked.
“Today, I managed to buy fresh yam at the market. Yam and beans oatmeal, served with stewed beef and pancakes, will be ready in no time.”

Zachary ascended the stairs while Lenora settled down on the couch, casually switching on the television.
It wasn’t that she particularly enjoyed watching TV dramas, but she felt that having the television in the living room lent a lively, homely atmosphere.
After a moment. Zachary descended from upstairs.
Lenora lifted her gaze and saw that he had already changed into a set of casual home clothes. A few strands of loose hair hung over his forehead, and the stubble on the back of his neck was neatly trimmed, giving him an added sense of youthfulness.
Zachary was about to head toward the single–seater couch when he noticed Lenora raising her hand to massage her shoulder. Changing his course, he positioned himself behind Lenora. “Have you been very tired lately?”
“Mm.” Lenora nodded.
Zachary’s large hand rested on Lenora’s shoulder, giving it a gentle massage. “Yoel has bought a resort in the suburbs,” he said. “How about we go there for a few days once we’re done with all this work?”
“Let’s talk about it later.”
By that time, they should have gotten a divorce
Zachary remained silent, continuing to massage Lenora for a while longer. “Feeling better now?” he asked.
“Mm.”
Zachary’s massage techniques were truly impressive.
It must have been honed over these past three years.
Before long, Miranda had brought up the dinner.
Sitting down at the table, Zachary served Lenora a pancake.
“Thank you,” Lenora suddenly thought of something and asked, “By the way, where’s my gift?”
Zachary paused, his expression somewhat unnatural. “That bangle… Susanna really liked it…”

A dull ache settled in Lenora’s heart. With a light, breezy smile, she said, “It’s all right. I’m not short of this one piece of jewelry. Let her have it.”
She could even give up her husband for her, let alone a piece of jewelry.
“Next time there’s an opportunity. I’ll gift you another one. Or, if there’s any piece of jewelry You fancy. I can send you the money for it.”
“Let’s talk about it later,” Lenora said nonchalantly, bowing her head to eat her meal.
Zachary gazed at her face; his lips twitched slightly, and his eyes lowered.
The atmosphere at the dinner table became tense.
Savoring her oatmeal in small bites, she finished her bowl. Setting down her spoon, she said, “I’m done eating. I’ll head upstairs first.”
“All right.”
Zachary nodded, watching Lenora’s retreating figure, his hands holding the fork tightening slightly.
After having a simple dinner, he returned to his room to retrieve his wallet. He pulled out a black card from it and headed straight to the master bedroom.

The bedroom had become significantly colder and bare, stripped of many belongings.
Upon closer inspection, what was lacking were those everyday items that provided warmth and comfort.
The bed was empty with no one lying on it.
Has Lenora moved out of the master bedroom?

Zachary strode out of his bedroom, shouting as he began to inspect each guest room one by

Upon pushing open the door to the first guest room, it was pitch black and utterly empty inside.
