On the following day, which was a Saturday, Lenora vished Jonas at the set of Cloudwater City as they had agreed upon.
At ten in the morning, Lenora arrived outside the film set. She called Jonas, who personally escorted her
- in.
This was the first time Lenora had visited the set.
As she walked alongside Jonas, she asked, “What needs to be done when visiting a set?”
“Nothing much. You’re really just here to take a look around and see how things are going. I’ll have some free time around noon; maybe we can grab lunch together nearby.”
“All right.”
Jonas took Lenora to greet Avery.
“When will it be your turn to act?”

Lenora had heard from Jonas that the crew was currently engaged in a large–scale filming of the drama scenes. Consequently, all the shooting locations were within the constructed sets, where Lenora was able to watch everything unfold on–site.
Jonas led Lenora to a spot with an exceptional view, where she could see all the actors who were in the midst of filming
Following that, Jonas left to get ready.
Before long, it was Jonas‘ turn to film.
He was adorned in a medieval costume, exuding an effortless charm and charisma. He immersed himself into the role so swiftly, it was as if he had transformed into a completely different person.
It was evident that Avery was quite pleased with him.
After watching Jonas for a while, Lenora got up to use the restroom.
As she was entering, someone was coincidentally exiting from the inside, and they bumped into each other head–on.
“Lenora? What are you doing here?” Susanna frowned, a hint of distaste flashing in her eyes.
“I came to visit someone on set.”“”
“Who?”
“Of course, I came to check on you. I wanted to see what state I left you in after my post yesterday.” Lenora said with a smile.

Susanna lauglied coldly. “I knew it! Your social media post yesterday was aimed at me. So, you must have seen my post from that night, right? Then you must know that Zack came to see me late at night behind. your back. How does that make you feel?”
Lenora wore a calm expression, a serene smile gracing her lips. “Stop fooling yourself. Why do you think Zachary is meeting you behind my back? If you’re so confident that he will eventually be yours, why bother trying to provoke me with social media posts?”
Susanna’s expression subtly shifted.
“Lenora, do you dare to make a bet with me?”
When Lenora didn’t respond, Susanna allowed a smug expression to cross her face. “What’s the matter, scared? Deep down, you know that betting against me la guaranteed loss, don’t you?”
“I’m doing just fine, so why would I want to gamble with you? I forgot to mention, Zachary and I just got back from a hot spring resort this morning. We soaked in the hot springs together. Zachary, always the one for antics, loves to play around in the water. You probably don’t know this, but he has quite the stamina and is able to go for a long time. Oh, and by the way, Zachary told me that when you two were dating, he never even touched you. Is that true?”

“That’s because Zack is showing his respect for me! Unlike you, who slept with a random man and used your body to get into a position of status. How is that any different from a prostitute?”
“But the crucial point is, I’ve successfully secured my position, while you’ll forever be the third wheel!”
“So what? Believe it or not, with just one phone call, Zack will come to check on me.”
As she spoke, Susanna dialed Zachary’s number right in front of Lenora.
She deliberately switched to speakerphone, casting a provocative glance at Lenora.
“Hey, Susanna.” A deep male voice came through the receiver.
“It’s me, Zack. Since I joined the film crew, you haven’t visited me yet. I don’t have many scenes today, so would you come over? After we wrap up, we could go for dinner together.”
The line went silent for a moment.
With a glimmer of hope, Lenora wished for him to say no.
Zachary agreed, saying, “All right.”
Lenora held her breath, her heart heavy with a stifling sense of dread.
Why he wasn’t afraid of being caught by the media this time?
“Great, I’ll be waiting for you on the set.”

After hanging up the phone, Susanna looked smug. “Lenora, you should understand now, right? Zack has always been at my beck and call. He’s never been into you. Lenora’s body stiffened slightly.

Lenora stood still for a moment, took a deep breath, then returned to the tent to watch Jonas performance.
After an indeterminate amount of time, there was a commotion outside.
Someone came into the tent to inform Avery, “Mr. Fuller is here to visit Ms. Carston on set.”
Avery grabbed a megaphone and announced, “Let’s take a break for now. We’ll continue shooting later.”
After saying that, he personally went out to meet Zachary.
Jonas, still dressed in a medieval costume, approached Lenora. “What do you think? How was my performance?”
“Pretty good. The feeling is there.”
It was evident that Avery was quite pleased with Jonas‘ performance. The scenes were shot smoothly, without many retakes being needed.
At that moment, a crew member from the set walked in, carrying four bags in both hands. Each bag contained four cups of milkshakes.
“Come on, everyone, Mr. Fuller has decided to treat everyone to milkshakes. There’s one for each of you, and if it’s not enough, feel free to grab more from outside.”
Lenora scoffed coldly. Well, isn’t that quite ostentatious
Jonas brought over two cups, handing one to Lenora. He asked, “Are you going to say hello?”

The sight of their intimacy stung Lenora’s eyes, causing her steps to falter and slow down.
Avery waved at Jonas. “Let me introduce you, Mr. Fuller. This is Jonas Zirk, the actor who plays Zander Rion. He’s very talented and hardworking. I wonder if you’re familiar with him?”
Zachary glanced up and gave a gentle nod. “I know him.”
I don’t just know him; I also know he tried to whisk my wife away overseas!
“Mr. Fuller,” Jonas greeted.
Zachary gave a slight nod, his gaze settling on Lenora, who had been trailing behind Jonas. “How long have you been here?”
“Not long, just over an hour,” Lenora replied, sipping on her milkshake.
Avery, with a smile, suggested, “What a coincidence! Mr. Fuller, you’re here to visit Ms. Carston while Ms. Wilkin is here to see Jonas. Why don’t we all have lunch together today? I’ll pick up the tab, what do you think?”
“Then I must thank you for your generosity, Mr. Chance.”
It was nearing noon when Avery decided to call it a day on the set. He invited an assistant director to join them before they headed toward a nearby restaurant, reserving a private room.
After everyone had taken their seats, Avery said, “Everyone, please feel free to order whatever you want. No need to stand on ceremony with me.”
“Allow me to thank you in advance, Mr. Chance,” Jonas said.
“Don’t worry. Mr. Chance, we definitely won’t hold back,” Susanna said with a smile.

Lenora flipped through the menu once more. “Let’s also get a honey–baked chicken.”

Watching the interaction between the two, Avery chuckled. “Oh, Jonas, you seem to know Ms. Wilkin’s tastes very well. How did you get to know her?”
