“Don’t speak. I’m taking you to the hospital first.” Zachary lifted Susanna in his arms, glanced at Lenora on the steps, and turned to leave.
With her face hidden from Zachary’s view, Susanna shot a triumphant smile toward Lenora. Silently, she mouthed the words, “I won.”

Won’t you even stay with me this once? I’ve grown accustomed to your presence, but you suddenly insist on leaving. How could you be so heartless?
“You should start getting used to it. I’ll give Yelena a call and ask her to keep you company.”
“I love you. I truly can’t live without you! Zack, you’ve said that you love me too, haven’t you? If you’re worried about your grandfather’s health, I’ll willing to be your mistress. I just want to stay by your side!” Susanna pleaded with a tearful tone.
Zachary remained silent, gently prying Susanna’s hands off him before striding away.

Zachary was known to be close to Lenora, and he was also the investor behind Jonas‘ production. Given his position, it was impossible for Jonas to refuse his requests.
