Faced with Eliza’s question. Elaine forced down her anger, then suddenly raised her hand and slapped Eliza hand across the face.
The slap rang out sharp and loud, silencing everyone nearby.
Brandon was especially shocked at the scene. Everything had seemed fine, why had it suddenly turned violent?
“You! How dare you hit someone?”
“I’m a customer! She’s an employee! I came here to find her, but she took forever to show up and wasted my time. You tell me–shouldn’t I be allowed to hit her?
Elaine now looked completely different from before–like a paranoid madwoman.
Eliza, however, said nothing.
She knew that if she retaliated and fought back, things would only escalate and get ugly.
There were definitely people in the crowd filming or livestreaming the scene. She needed the public to see that she was the innocent one–that Missy offered the best customer service in the entire beauty industry.
“I’m sorry. Ms. Elaine. I’m actually not scheduled to work today. But may I ask why you’re specifically looking for me?”
That’s none of your business. I want to buy your products, and I want you to do my makeup. Right now.”
“Of course, Ms. Elaine.”
Eliza walked over naturally, picked up the makeup tools on the table, and got ready to apply Elaine’s makeup.
But out of nowhere, Elaine shoved her away.
Eliza let herself fall to the ground with the push.
The manager panicked and rushed to help her up.
But Eliza played the part of the wronged party perfectly. “Ms. Elaine, what are you doing?!”
Elaine hadn’t even pushed that hard, but seeing Eliza pretend to be fragile and pitiful only made her more furious..
“Eliza, quit pretending to be some poor victim. Do you think playing weak will make me let you off the hook? I want you to wash my face, remove my makeup, and then properly do it all over again!”
To bystanders, her demands were completely unreasonable.
More and more people gathered to watch and see what was going on.
“This customer, employees are people too. You’re way out of line. At Missy, we don’t serve customers like you. Please leave immediately.”
Brandon stood in front of Eliza as he spoke, prompting a cold laugh from Elaine.

“Miss, why are you slandering me like this?”
Eliza looked thoroughly aggrieved. “If you keep making these baseless claims, I’m going to call the police!”
To the people watching, Elaine now seemed totally unhinged..
No one was willing to believe anything she said.
Brandon caught Eliza’s glance and immediately stepped forward. “Yes, call the police! Right now! Miss, we’ve been more than patient with you. But you’ve caused a huge disturbance and destroyed so many items, we have no choice but to handle this seriously.”
“I’ll pay for the damage, okay? Eliza is an employee here. I’m paying top dollar for her service–what’s the problem?”
Elaine looked straight at Eliza. “I’m warning you, if you don’t leave my fiance, I’ll come here and cause trouble every single day!”
Eliza replied, “Ms. Elaine, I really don’t know why you’re so convinced I stole your fiance. But… for the items. you damaged, please compensate us at full price. As for the rest, let’s take it up at the police station.”
“Fine. I’ll pay.”
As she spoke, Elaine pulled a card from her wallet.
But just as the card was swiped, something unexpected happened.
After a moment, the store clerk walked over and said, “I’m sorry, madam, but your account has been frozen.”
Elaine’s expression changed instantly. “That’s impossible! This is a black platinum card–are you sure you didn’t make a mistake?”
She’d never had a spending limit on that card, and she’d used it for years without issue.
It had never been frozen.
