Chapter 18
DANTE’S POV
The news of the Griffith Alpha King’s daughter’s birthday celebration spread through our pack like wildfire.
Everyone was talking about it, but no one was more excited than my mother. She stormed into my room, her face a mix of confusion and annoyance.
“Dante, why weren’t we invited?” she asked, her voice sharp.
I looked up from my book, raising an eyebrow. “How should I know, Mother? Maybe they just forgot about
- us.
She wasn’t satisfied with that answer. For the next hour, she paced my room, asking question after question. Why this, why that. It was enough to make my head spin.
Finally, when I couldn’t give her the answers she wanted, she made a decision that left me speechless. We have to go,” she announced, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
“We weren’t invited,” I protested, putting my book down. “We can’t just crash someone else’s party Especially not the Griffith’s.”
She waved her hand casually. “It doesn’t matter. We are going.”
I tried to persuade her, explaining how attending a party we weren’t invited to was not only rude but could potentially cause problems for our pack.
For a moment, I thought I was getting through to her. But then, like a whirlwind, my sister burst into the room. “We have to go, Dante,” she declared..
I groaned, slumping back into my chair. “Not you too, Sabrina. Please, don’t start.”
But Sabrina, always the one with a plan, had a trick up her sleeve. “Come on, Dante. This could be our chance to gather information about Adam Griffith.”
That caught my attention.
“When exactly is this party?” I asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
“Today!” my mother exclaimed, looking happy.
“Today?”
Sabrina nodded, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. “It’s actually happening right now.”
I jumped to my feet. “And you’re just telling me this now? Why didn’t you say something sooner?”
My mother scoffed. “Oh please. I’ve been trying to tell you since yesterday, but you weren’t listening.”
ran a hand through my hair. “I don’t have anything to wear. I can’t just show up to the Griffith’s in jeans

Before I could finish my sentence, Sabrina cut me off with a frustrated shout. “Goodness!! Dante, your wardrobe is full of clothes. Just find something elegant to wear.”

I started to protest, but Sabrina’s eyes narrowed threateningly. Fine. I’ll figure something out” I sad quickly.
As I headed upstairs, Sabrina’s voice echoed behind me. “You had better hurry up
“Yes, your highness.” I replied sarcastically.
Once in my room, I surprised myself by how quickly I got ready. In less than an hour, I was standing in front of my mirror, admiring my reflection.
“Not bad, Dante,” I said to myself, adjusting my tie. “Not bad at all.”
When I made my way back downstairs, I was shocked to see my mother and sister already wating looking elegant and ready.
Sabrina smirked. “Took you long enough.”
I sighed and gestured towards the door. “After you, ladies.”
The drive to the Griffith pack territory was torture. My mother and sister talked non–stop. By the time we arrived, my head was pounding.
As we stepped out of the car, I couldn’t stop myself from staring at the extravagant display of weath around us.
Griffith’s wealth was on full display, from the perfectly landscaped gardens to the shiny cars parked along the driveway.
Suddenly, my mother’s hand grabbed my arm and pulled me close. “No matter what,‘ she whispered in my ear, “you have to meet the Griffith princess.”
I frowned, confused by her seriousness. “Why?”
She rolled her eyes as if I was being particularly dense. “To marry her, you idiot.”
“Marry her? Mother, I don’t even know who she is. Why would I want to marry her?”
My mother’s eyes hardened. “Knowing her doesn’t matter. What matters is marrying into the Griffith clan. It would guarantee our pack’s protection.”
I had to admit, she had a point. Our pack wasn’t the strongest, and forming an alliance with the Griffiths could change everything. But still, the idea of marrying a stranger just for political gain didn’t sit well with
- me.
Trying to change the subject, I gestured towards the entrance. “We should try to get inside.”
As we made our way through the crowd, bits of conversation floated around us. It seemed we weren’t the only ones with marriage on our minds.
“It would be lovely to marry the Griffith princess,” one werewolf said dreamily.
“That’s my intention for coming here,” another admitted. “I want to try and forge a marriage alliance with the Griffith clan.”
“Me too,” a third cut in. “My pack needs their protection

My mother gave me a knowing look, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. I knew that this wouldn’t be the end of it. She would definitely be on my case about the Griffith princess for the rest of the night.
As we got closer to the entrance, I started to get nervous. What if we were turned away? What if the Griffiths took offense?
However, I tried to stay calm. This was our chance to see the mysterious Griffith family up close, to maybe even meet the infamous Adam Griffith.
Taking a deep breath, I straightened my shoulders and plastered on my most charming smile.
“Ready?” I asked, looking at my mother and sister.
They both nodded eagerly, their eyes shining with excitement.

*Then let’s crash this party,” I said, leading the way into what I hoped would be a night to remember.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans. As we got to the entrance, a large security guard held up his hand and stopped us in our tracks.
“Invitations?” he growled, eyeing us suspiciously.
I struggled to find the right words, but my mother stepped forward, her chin held high.
“We are expected,” she said confidently.
The guard wasn’t buying it. “No invitation, no entry,” he said firmly.
I could feel the eyes of other guests on us, whispers starting to spread. My cheeks burned with shame. This was exactly what I had been afraid of.
Just as I was about to suggest that we leave, a soft voice spoke up from behind us. “They’re with me.”
I turned to see a young woman holding out an invitation. The guard examined it for a moment before nodding and stepping aside.
As we walked in, I let out a breath I didn’t know I had been holding. “Thank you,” I said to our saviour. “You really saved us back there. I’m Dante, Alpha Dante of the Crescent Moon pack.”
She smiled, a mysterious glint in her eye. “Tina. And it was nothing, really.”
As I looked at her, a nagging feeling tugged at my memory. “Do I know you from somewhere?” I asked, frowning slightly.
Tina smirked. “Probably,” she said mysteriously, then turned and disappeared into the crowd before could ask anything else.
I stared after her, a strange thought tickling the back of my mind, but I quickly pushed it aside. We were in, and that was what mattered.
My mother grabbed my arm, her nails digging in slightly. “Remember why we’re here,” she hissed. “Find the princess.
I nodded, my eyes already scanning the crowd. As I looked around, I couldn’t help but notice the crystal. chandeliers, elaborate floral arrangements, and guests adorned in sparkling jewels. It was a lot to take in
