Chapter 4 Congratulations, Mrs Price, on the Wedding!
Three days after he left, Jocelyn had already gotten use to the idea of going back to school.
She went to Fourville High School.
It was five bus stops away.
After grabbing breakfast, Jocelyn caught the earliest bus. As she looked out at the streets she knew so well but felt unfamiliar again, she felt like she was reliving her life, almost like she was dreaming.
On the screens of those tall buildings, all the news was about the Prices getting ready for an engagement with Yvette Foster.
In the interview footage, Yvette, looking elegant, was seen holding Zachary’s arm. She smiled and told the reporters, “Yes, we’re about to get engaged soon.
“Next week.”
The reporter responded, “Congratulations, Mrs. Price, and best wishes for your wedding!”
Yvette smiled and said, “Thank you.”
The camera zoomed in on the ring on Yvette’s finger while she looked genuinely happy.
The guy next to her wore a leather suit and had a cool, aloof vibe. His deep eyes were intense and serious. Zachary was handsome-Jocelyn thought he was the best-looking guy she had ever seen.
But standing next to him, the woman beside Zachary, despite not focusing on Yvette’s looks, matched his presence perfectly.
To everyone watching, they seemed like a perfect pair.
“Zachary, I promise I won’t be a burden this time, I won’t interfere with your life anymore.”
The reporter then asked, “So from now on, should we start calling you Mrs. Price?”
Yvette blushed and shyly answered, but soon Zachary steered the conversation back to the topic, discussing the future plans and economic development of the Price Group.
It seemed like this was the life Zachary was meant for he was a man destined for greatness, with his childhood sweetheart by his side, while she was just an outsider who came along later.
Zachary, in this life, I wish you and Yvette have a happy and fulfilling life together, and that you both stay happy and in love forever.
Class 6 at Fourville High School in Dreunga.
Jocelyn took the bus to her second-floor classroom, just in time for the early study period.
Her grades weren’t too bad.
She hadn’t completely forgotten what she learned before, so she could keep up with the math lesson that

“Josie, I heard you were absent. Where did you go?”
It was her deskmate, Margot York, asking.

Jocelyn glanced at the injury on her wrist. The stitches had been removed the other day, and it was almost
healed.
She shrugged and gave a vague excuse, “Oh, nothing much. I just had a fever.”
“I seel Are you feeling better now?”
“Yeah.”
Margot then asked, “By the way, I heard that Christian confessed to you. Is that true? Did you say yes?”
Jocelyn’s hand froze while she was taking notes.
Christian Zimmer-how could she possibly forget that name?
He was Zachary’s biggest rival, a future internet giant who came from a poor background. He worked his way up from scratch and ended up with a fortune worth billions. He was the only one who could match Zachary.
In her past life, Jocelyn knew Christian had a thing for her, and she used that to her advantage. She manipulated him to cause trouble for Yvette and set up a car accident for her.
When Zachary found out, he was furious. He took down Christian, who had no connections and had him thrown in jail on charges of intentional harm.
Christian’s company, Spritechnologies, went bankrupt overnight.
In her past life, the person she felt most regretful about was Christian.
Thinking about him, Jocelyn felt a sharp pain in her heart.
She forced herself to stay calm and said, “My brother doesn’t want me to start dating early. Plus, I’m still young. Right now, I just want to focus on my studies.”
Christian came from a regular background. His mom had kidney disease, and his dad was a doctor. Despite everything, he worked way harder than anyone else. He was considered a top student by teachers. and classmates and had even been admitted to Dreunga University without having to take the entrance exams like everyone else.
Margot said, “Honestly, I think Christian is pretty great And come on, who doesn’t start dating early these days? As long as it doesn’t mess with your studies, it’s all good. Plus, he might even help you with tutoring, and then you two could end up at the same school.”
Jocelyn looked down, lost in thought. The day before she tried to end her life for Zachary, she had a huge fight with Christian and said some really hurtful things to him.
She had said that he was just poor guy with no future and that being with him would only hold her back.

Now, thinking about those words made Jocelyn regret them so much that she wished she could slap herself.
In her past life, Christian was the one who treated her the best, besides Zachary
Margot kept going. “You always talk about your brother. What does he actually do?”
Jocelyn said, “I don’t know. My brother’s super busy, and I haven’t talked to himn in a while?
Then she heard a voice from the hallway outside the classroom. It was one of Christian’s close friends, asking, “Christian, what’s wrong with you today? How did you end up looking like that from playing basketball?”
Jocelyn looked over and saw Christian walking down the hallway. He was tall, with dark skin and a strong. handsome face, and he was wearing a short-sleeved school uniform.
Margot excitedly shook Jocelyn’s arm. “Quick, look! It’s Christian!”
“Yeah, Christian is pretty handsome, isn’t he?” she added, as if she had overheard them.
Just then, Christian glanced over, his amber eyes meeting Jocelyn’s. Compared to the warmth he show her, he now looked at her with cold indifference.

Thinking about how Christian took all the blame by himself and spent the final trial in prison, Jocelyn felt a sharp pain in her heart.
She owed him an apology she could never really give.
Seeing her look at him like a stranger, Christian coldly turned away and walked off.
From a distance, she heard one of his friends say, “So, you’re not going after Jocelyn anymore?”
Jocelyn didn’t catch what Christian said in response.
She had no idea what he might have said.
Everyone at Fourville High School knew that Christian had feelings for her.
Even the teachers had talked to her a bunch of times, worried that she might be starting a relationship too early.
She first met Christian in her freshman year of high school. One Friday evening after a late study she ran into him in a familiar alley, covered in blood from a fight.
She quickly called an ambulance for him.

The second time they crossed paths was when she almost got harassed by some thugs, and Christian stepped in to help her.
The third time they crossed paths was when she fainted during a run because of her period. Christian happened to be in PE class and, despite all the attention from everyone, carried her to the medical room.
That was how they started getting to know each other.

As she arrived at the bus stop, a black sedan suddenly pulled up right in front of her.
