Aubrey looked at Adair in confusion.
Adair responded, “I’m just asking.”
She was curious to see what Lysander’s fiancée looked like. Although they had not met yet, she already felt a hint of jealousy toward that woman.

But in Elara’s view, the real issue was with Adair’s behavior. Ever since Elara had started working with Evelyn, whenever Jase spoke to her and Adair noticed, she would go out of her way to give Jase trouble, always making indirect, pointed remarks.
Adair, noticing Elara’s tone, replied sharply, “I find you annoying too!”
Elara replied dismissively, “I can’t be bothered with you,” and then walked directly over to sit beside Lysander.
As she watched Elara sit down next to Lysander, Adair could not help but recall how, just moments ago, she herself had been harshly glared at by Lysander. Since then, she had not dared to get too close to him again.
To her surprise, Elara not only sat beside Lysander but even leaned on him naturally. Adair had half–expected to see Elara get pushed away, but Lysander did not react at all.
Curious, Adair asked, “Do you two know each other?”
Elara said, “I do. Why? If not, then why am I here?”
She looked at Lysander. “What game is this? I want to play, too.”
“Go ahead!” Lysander replied, already feeling uninterested.
He handed his phone to Elara, and the next moment, he naturally pulled her into his arms.
Adair was speechless.
She sat at the side and looked at Elara Kensington, who was not cold at all.

Elara, however, did not care at all. She looked completely relaxed.

Wyatt noticed Elara and greeted her, “Elara, Merry Christmas!”

Wyatt smiled. “I heard you’ve been working at your aunt’s law firm recently?”
Elara glanced at Evelyn, who was sitting beside her and nodded. “Yes. She’s my boss now. She taught me many things.”
“That’s rare,” Wyatt said, looking at Evelyn. “I’ve never seen her work so hard.”
Evelyn replied, “Wyatt, at least give me some face! It wasn’t easy for her to think that I have some ability! Aren’t you undermining me?”
Wyatt chuckled. “Just don’t lead her astray!”
Everyone in the family knew exactly what Evelyn was like.
She was not married and spent all her time dating.
As for the older ones, she would not entertain them.
There was nothing they could do to her.
