Tcouldn’t hurt her
Bethany lay beneath mis, hei wide eyes locked onto mine, fear and something else that shined in her eyes. My claws dug into the earth on either side of her, my breath coming out in ragged pants.
I needed to move. I needed to get away before-
A sharp pain shot through my skull. I roared, the sound shaking the trees, sending birds scattering into the night. My brothers were shouting my name, their voices distant, blurred, like echoes inside my mind.
I couldn’t focus on them.
Because I saw it.
The darkness.
It surrounded Bethany, creeping toward me, twisting, curling. If it reached me, if it touched me–I would lose myself completely.
I wouldn’t just kill Bethany. I’d kill everyone..
“Damien!” Declan’s voice was sharp, filled with urgency. “Step away, Now! Now, Brother!”
But I couldn’t look away from her.
Bethany was trembling, Her eyes closed and Her body arched off the ground, a strangled cry tearing from her lips.
Her bones cracked.
My breath hitched.
She was… shifting? And why… Why was she in pain? I moved away mostly in confusion. The pain in my head was replaced with her screaming as she
turned into a wolf.
A shining silver furred wolf.
Starlight.
The name echoed in my mind.
The beast inside me snarled. I tried to fight the cursed hunger raging through my veins. I wanted to devour her, to claim her, to tear her apart, but !
couldn’t move.
Because the darkness, the suffocating energy that had threatened to consume me, was fading.
Bethany’s wolf stood tall, her silver–white fur shimmering. She stepped toward me, hesitant, her ears pinned back. I stiffened, ready to strike.
But then she touched me.
Her muzzle pressed against mine, a soft, delicate caress.
Warmth filled my body. The hunger, the rage, the chaos inside me—it all just… disappeared.
The curse that burned in my veins like fire cooled.

No one had ever calmed me belom. No one had ever touched the tiger and lived. And yet, Bethany had.
She took a shuddering step back, and before I could stop het, her form shook again.
blaked and she was human collapsing onto the ground.
“Bethany surged forward, catching her before she hit the dirt and kneeling to hold her in my arms.
She was unconscious.
Goddess no No no!
4 sagged in relief when I found out she was breathing.
My brothers rushed forward, Daniel tossed a cloak over my shoulders, Declan kneeling beside Bethany, I barely heard them, barely processed anything beyond the weight of her in my arms.
She had saved me.
And I had no idea how.
I stared at her, my arms still cradling her unconscious body. She was weak–too weak. But how? How could someone with a wolf like that, glowing and radiant, be so fragile?
My fingers clenched.
Bethany wasn’t just any wolf. She was something more. But if she was meant to be strong, then why did she collapse like this?
My gaze flickered down, and for the first time, I truly saw her.
She was beautiful.
Not just beautiful–she was one of the most breathtaking women I had ever laid eyes on. Her skin, soft and pate, was marked by the faint glow of moonlight. Her curves, delicate and perfect, stirred something dark inside me. My eyes roamed over down the smooth nape of her neck over to her
breasts.
Her soft supple breasts. My mouth watered. I wanted to taste her. To capture those pink nipples in my mouth. To bury my head between those sweet legs.
A growl filled my ears telling me I wasn’t the only one who thought so.
Declan, Daniel, and Damon had all gone silent. Their eyes, like mine, were drawn to her, lingering on her bare skin.
She is our mate, my wolf spoke.
A shudder ran through me.
Mine.

Chapter 13
The word ignited a head I didn’t want to acknowledge.
Damon stepped closer. Of course he did. His curse fed on lust, and right now, Bethany’s naked form was a temptation he couldn’t resist.
?could practically smell the hinge: rolling off him.
His fingers twitched, his expression darkening with desire. He wanted to claim her. Touch het, I know hw wasn’t thinking.
“Damon“t growled, my voice edged with warning.
But he ignored me, stepping forward and scooping her up out of my hands, effortlessly.

His hands pressed against her bare skin, his eyes gleaming with something unholy. They closed as he buried his face in her neck, shuddering as if possessed.
I clenched my jaw. “Take her to the North Wing.”
Damon didn’t argue. He was too lost in the moment to fight me, too consumed by lust to care. He turned without a word, carrying her off, her limp form draped over his arms.
1 exhaled sharply and ran a hand through my hair.
This was dangerous.
I reached out through the mind–link. Carlos, get the seer to the North Wing. Now.
Understood, Carlos responded immediately.
I turned back to my brothers, tension thick in the air. Declan broke the silence first. “What the hell just happened?”
I met his gaze. “I don’t know.”
Daniel frowned. “But you said-”
I cut him off. “She’s our doom. I know what I said.” The words felt heavy on my tongue. I clenched my fists. “She was the reason I lost control. I couldn’t stop myself… because of her.”
Daniel’s expression darkened. “What do you mean?”
Tinhaled sharply and stalked towards the north wing palace, explaining to my brothers as we moved quickly. “There’s a fresh wound on her. The scent of her blood–it triggered my beast.”
Daniel’s eyes narrowed as we walked into my palace. “A fresh wound?”
The Seer was already waiting, her small frame and youthful appearance a stark contrast to her ancient age. She was older than our parents, and had been around for so long that her years had become a whispered legend. Yet, despite her ancientness, she looked surprisingly young, with a smooth face and a head of shiny, silver–blonde hair that cascaded down her back and reached all the way to the ground, flowing behind her like a river of moonlight.
She was the one who had prophesied our curse before we were even born, foretelling the doom that would befall us. Her words were law, and everyone knew it. That’s why they feared her – because nothing could change the course of what she saw. Her eyes, a deep, piercing green, sparkled with a knowing glint, as if they held secrets and stories that only she could see.
She had been quite like a mother to us
“Damien,” she called, worried.
“I’m fine,” I told her, grunting.
“You met her, didn’t you? The prophesied one?”

The shaled sharply, shaking her head. “Fools. What are you doing?”
stopped forward. “We called you here because Bethany’s woll… controlled my beast.”
The Seer’s gaze flickered with something unreadable. “And is there something you’re not telling me about this girl?”
Declan stiffened. “No.”
* didn’t blink. “She’s just a pack woll”
The Seer studied us for a long moment, then sighed. “Show me the girl.”
led her into the next room, where Bethany lay unconscious on the couch, wrapped in a blanket Damon must have thrown over her.
The Seer stopped.
Her breath hitched.
Her eyes widened. “She is your mate?”
A heavy silence followed.
Then, slowly, we all answered. “Yes.”
The Seer let out a short, harsh laugh. “This is irony at its finest.”
I frowned. “What do you mean?”
She turned to look at us, her expression grim.
“The woman carrying dark energy is your doom,” she said softly.
Then she looked back at Bethany,
“And your mate… is your blessing”
A chill ran down my spine,
The same woman carried both our doom… and our salvation.
Why
