Chapter 60

Tristan helped me up from my seat. “Let’s go somewhere else.”

He said that without looking at Jameson and Xandra. Then, he strode out of the restaurant.

I couldn’t help but turn around. I saw Jameson and Xandra arguing with the restaurant manager. They must have made a reservation and pre–ordered their meal at this restaurant, but never expected that the staff would refuse to serve them.

I wondered if such a huge restaurant could really close like that.

I followed Tristan. He walked very fast and didn’t let go of my hand.

He led me out of the restaurant. Then, he took a turn at the corner and went up to the second

floor of the restaurant.

I was surprised and had no idea what he was up to

Once we reached the second floor, a waiter, who was neatly dressed, was there to greet us. He -led us to a cozy, elegant spot on the patio.

I looked down and saw through the semi–transparent glass window that Jameson walked out angrily with Xandra.

I stared at Tristan in a daze. He was casually talking and joking with the restaurant manager who had come up to the second floor, while the well–trained waiter served us our dishes.

By the time the restaurant manager left, the table was already filled with all the dishes we had.

Tristan noticed that I was surprised and adjusted his glasses. “Go ahead and eat. The dining atmosphere earlier wasn’t great, and your appetite was probably ruined. My bad.”

It finally dawned on me. “Did you chase them away?”

Tristan smiled. “This restaurant wouldn’t welcome them anymore.”

I was dumbfounded.

Although I had amnesia, I did a bit of research on this Fraunch restaurant before coming

Due to the restaurant’s authentic cuisine, it was one of the two award–winning restaurants in

Cranbel.

With its long history, Cranbel’s elite liked to meet important guests here. Therefore, it had a higher ranking compared to other restaurants.

Normally, it was already hard to get a reservation, let alone have the authority to put Jameson and Xandra on the blacklist.

I widened my eyes and asked, “How did you do it?”

Tristan took a sip of champagne and loosened his collar before he casually said, “My family has got a share in this restaurant.”

I was stunned. “You are the boss behind the scenes?”

The Zook family’s wealth made me feel like a clueless country bumpkin.

I had lived a luxurious life as the pampered daughter of the Lambert family since young.

Tristan suddenly made me realize that there were different types of wealth among the rich people.

Tristan laughed, his eyes lit up, and that laugh of his was contagious.

“Silly, a good business would never turn down investments from outsiders. Even if you’re not a founder, there’s still a good chance to get a shape.”

He spoke tactfully, but I understood what he wanted to say.

I ate the delicious Fraunch cuisine and took my time to chew the lamb chop I hadn’t had in

ages.

My negative feelings slowly dissipated.

However, I had a doubt. I wondered why Jameson didn’t want to divorce me when he was openly dating Xandra.

“Why are you so lost in thought?” Tristan asked calmly.

I looked at him and said seriously, “I’m thinking about how to get Jameson to agree to the

divorce.”

Tristan hummed in acknowledgment and said, “Take your time.”

I looked at him in confusion. “Why did you say that?”

Tristan pushed a dessert to me and said, “Since you already have a bond with him for seven years, there’s no need to rush into cutting ties with him.”
