Chapter 63
Margaret said, “Speak of the devil, it must be Mr. Zook.”
When she opened the door, it was a bouquet of pink lilies. Lilies were larger than roses, so the bouquet looked enormous.
Margaret and I were startled.
The flower delivery guy asked me to acknowledge receipt of the flowers as he said, “A lot of people are watching while I was on my way here. Is someone having a birthday?”
I was puzzled. “Did someone really send these to me? Are you sure they weren’t delivered to the wrong person?”
The flower delivery guy said, “Are you Wynonna Lambert?”
I nodded.
The guy double–checked the address and name. Then, he smiled and said, “It’s definitely. correct. I got to go. I have another delivery.”
With that, he quickly left.
Margaret and I stared at the bouquet, and we exchanged glances
Before she said anything, I hurriedly said, “This isn’t from Mr. Zook.”
I immediately went back to my room and texted Tristan to ask about the bouquets. After waiting for a long time, there was no response from him.
Feeling helpless, I went to the living room and saw that Margaret had put the roses into the
vase.
I suddenly thought of someone. I picked up the phone and hesitated before dialing a number.
“Hello, Wyn?” A familiar voice sounded from the other end of the phone.
After some thought, I immediately hung up.
Soon, my phone rang. When I was about to block the number, I hesitated for a few seconds
and answered, “Hello, Mr. Brown.”
Jameson sounded very relaxed. “What’s up? Have you thought it through?”
I frowned. “Think about what? I have something to ask you.
Jameson said, “Stop making excuses. I know you have come to your senses.”
He paused for a moment, and he gently said, “We can talk about this. I’m willing to meet any
of your conditions, as long as you stop making things harder.”
I was disgusted by his words. “I’m not! I’m calling to ask if you were the flowers? Was it you?”
ne who sent me
Jameson chuckled. “How could it be me? You were the one who planned this and now you are asking me?”
I asked, “What do you mean I planned this?”
Jameson let out a long sigh. “After all these years, you haven’t changed. Back then, when you saw other women getting close to me, you would deliberately buy yourself a lot of flowers and gifts, then tricking me into believing that they were from the guys who were pursuing you.”
He kindly asked, “Did you forget? Oh, did you say you have amnesia?”
He said solemnly, “Tricks like that won’t work on me. Who else would want to marry you besides me?”
I was so mad that I couldn’t help but laugh. “I made a mistake.”
Jameson immediately said, “Good. At least you know you are in the wrong-
I didn’t wait for him to finish what he wanted to say. I sneered.
“I was wrong to think that you are selfish and stupid. Now, I realize that you are so arrogant that it disgusts me. I’m shocked that your IQ is so low. I’m so disgusted by your narcissism.
“What makes you think you are so charming that I would keep falling for you? You should take? a good look at yourself and know your place, okay?
“Stop acting like I would fall apart without you. You are so disgusting that it makes me want to puke! Honestly, a lot of people have pursued me, and each of them was more outstanding than the poor you back then. I must have been out of my mind to think that I had to settle for you!
Now, I have come to my senses. So, please hurry and divorce me, okay? Go ahead and marry Xandra, that pretentious bitch. I hope both of you are inseparable! Thanks!”
I scolded Jameson in one go. Then, I blocked him.
Great! I had finally gotten it off my chest.
I finally understood why Jameson was so confident that he was a heartthrob.
It was all because I pampered him too much when I was still a lovesick fool in the past seven years, which was why he had that annoying habit.
I was so angry that I paced around the room. I found everything I saw looked unpleasant. Then, the phone rang.
