Chapter 71
The man startled me. Reflexively, I took a step back.
Chloe stepped forward to shield me. “What are you doing?” she snarled.
The man’s face was red from the beer he had been drinking. His breath reeked of alcohol.
“Just wanted to get to know such a pretty lady better. Let me have your number.”
Chloe let out a cold chuckle. “Nope! Now, out of my way. We’re leaving.”
The man followed us. “You’re such a firecracker. It’s just for us to get to know each other better. You two were eating and drinking earlier with no boyfriends to help you out. It’s such a waste. I can drink with you two ladies next time. It’ll be my treat.”
The man still dogged our steps, even after Chloe and I got out to the street. Chloe was irritated. “You’re really annoying. I said no already. If you’ve had too much to drink, then just pack up and go home.”
I noticed the man’s expression morph into something else, so I quickly stepped in front of Chloe and smiled. “Sir, we’re about to go home. If we do get the chance to meet again, we’ll certainly invite you to drink with us.”
My answer satisfied the man, and he laughed. “No need for you to do that. Come on, let’s get to know each other now.” With that, he reached out with one hairy hand to grab my own hand.
I shrieked in fear.
Chloe was shocked and immediately wrenched my hand back. “Let go! What are you planning to do in broad daylight?”
The man’s expression darkened in clear displeasure. “You bitches don’t know a gentleman when they see one. I was being polite when I said I’d treat you to a drink.” He summoned the
other men from his table with a wave of his hand.
It was only then that Chloe and I realized the danger we were in. Chloe held up her phone.” Don’t try anything or I’ll call the police.”
The man guffawed, “Just try! The police are our lapdogs.”
His buddies cheered.
As we were forced to back away, a sleek, black Ferrari suddenly careened toward them.
“Holy fuck! Is that dude trying to kill us?”
“Motherfucker, how did he even get a driver’s license?”
As the men shouted and cursed, the Ferrari came to a screeching halt. The door then opened for someone to emerge. He took a look at the drunk men before leaning against his car with a

smirk. “So, what’s going on? Who here has been heckling my people?”

The men didn’t seem to recognize this newcomer, but they could tell that they shouldn’t mess with him when they saw his car and demeanor.
There was still an idiot who did otherwise, though. The man who had demanded my number and Chloe’s immediately yelled, “Who’s this pansy ass little shit? What’s your deal? Trying to cockblock me?” He then charged over.
The Ferrari driver simply chuckled before kicking at an empty bottle by his feet. It flipped at few times in the air before he caught it in one smooth motion. Without even looking, he swung the bottle at the drunk man. The man immediately went down in one strike.
The Ferrari driver then tossed the bottle aside. With a swift kick, he sent the man flying drunk man simply laid on the ground, unmoving.

The drunk man’s friends were stunned. By the time their brains caught up, the Ferrari driver had already taken out another two men by swinging more empty beer bottles at them, with an empty bottle in each of his hands.
This man’s stance was relaxed, and his height afforded him an advantage in the melee. If the drunks got close to him, he simply fended them off with a kick.
“This guy knows his shit! Let’s run!”
The men were shocked. They thought they had the advantage of numbers, but they hadn’t expected that this tall man would start beating them up, or for him to be such a good fighter.
As a waiter from the restaurant emerged to calm down the drunk men, the tall man turned to us and called out, “Get in the car!”
Chloe and I were dumbfounded from the spectacle. All we could do was blindly follow his order.
Having noticed the other men reaching out for him once more, the Ferrari driver kicked a stool at them. It arced through the air before gravity pulled it back down. The crowd of ment scrambled to avoid the stool.
