Evelyn’s POV
I stared at him as burning humiliation surged through me.
“Are you even serious right now?” I asked, my body trembling with anger. “Do you even realize how insulting this is?!”

He looked frustrated, “I know it’s not ideal. But Leah’s the daughter of Ironclaw Pack’s Alpha and Roman’s birth mother. And you Evelyn…you don’t have an impressive family, and you also haven’t given me a child all these years.”
I felt like the pain was tearing me apart.
How dare he blame me for being childless.
He and his mistress murdered my baby!

“And why do you worry about title anyway? Our feeling is all that ” he continued shamelessly, “You were so gorgeous at the party last night. Did you notice? All the other men were staring at you… I want you to be mine. So give me another chance, will you?”
Elin roared inside of me. I trembled with pain and humiliation as well.
“No.” I gritted, “It’s not about our feelings…it’s about my pride and dignity. I won’t let
and Leah insult me like that.”
His face darkened.
“Don’t be a baby, Evelyn.” he said impatiently, “If you insist on leaving me, you’ll be a damaged goods. No man would want you. Your best shot is marrying a Gamma or Beta from a small pack-most likely as a mistress as well.”
“Tell him that Alpha Asher offered you to be his Luna! And Asher is a hundred times better than him!’ Elin roared inside of me.
“No need,” I took a deep breath. “I don’t want to drag Asher into this mess.”
Making up my mind, I firmly said to Tristan:
“I rejected you already, So it’s over between us. Let’s finalize the divorce
as
quickly a as possible.”
He seemed unprepared to my firm rejection. His face quickly turned red with embarrassment.
“FINE!” he snarled, “Don’t you regret it later!”
I turned and walked away without hesitation.
Regret it?
Never.

After breakfast, I returned to
my office.
I started organizing the works related to the Carnival City project before the groundbreaking. There was a lot of chaos lately. But the works had to continue.
I was very productive today and felt more energetic than ever.
Because I knew I was no longer working for Blazewood Pack. The money I earned would be mine.
But now, I had another urgent task-
I had to contact Emerald Howl Pack and inform them about the Carnival City project.
I pulled out my brother Eason’s phone number and then hesitated.
I was afraid to contact him.
My brother Eason is the Gamma of Emerald Howl Pack.
He was strongly against my marriage to Tristan back then. So when I left Emerald Howl Pack, he gave me 2000 soldiers and 30 million and told me
never to come back.
Maybe he wouldn’t take me back.

After hesitating for a long time, I decided to send Eason a text message first.
I told him that Carnival City was a very lucrative project and that Emerald Howl Pack, being in a remote area with a poor economy, really needed this opportunity for its economic development.
I asked Eason to tell Alpha Sid about this project, and if possible, invite them to come over and discuss it with Alpha Asher.
After editing the message, I hit send and leaned back in my chair, letting out a long breath.
This was the first time I contacted Eason in 4
Now, I could only b
years.
he was still talk to me.
Around 6 in the evening, I packed up and stood from my desk, bidding my colleagues goodbye and left the office.
After a long day, I was desperate to lie do
and have some rest.
But when I returned to my room, I was surprised to find two unexpected guests standing outside my door.
Asher leant against the wall with arms cross
a very cold and irritated expression on his face.
The person he was staring at was Roman.
“What are you two doing here?” I asked, surprised.
Roman looked up at me and cried out abruptly:
“MOM!”
I froze right away.
Roman… This was the first time he called me Mom!
Before I could react, the child ran over and hugged me tightly, crying:
“Mom, I made a mistake… Can you forgive me please?”
