Evelyn’s POV
I stared at him in shock.

He met my gaze and added with a smile, “In return, I’ll help you divorce Tristan. You’ll get a huge share of his assets.
“Are you drunk right now?” I couldn’t help but ask in disbelief, “You want me to be your Luna? We barely know each other!”
He wasn’t offended. A glint of amusement flashed in his green eyes.
“I’ve never been more sober,” he smiled.
“But if you just want to get married, you could choose any women in the world.”
He tapped his finger on the table, “Those are my terms. You need my help. Especially in a brutal divorce like this.”
I stared at him, still shocked and baffled.
A playboy like Asher would never have a crush on a divorcee like me.
Maybe this was like a job offer. He chose me because I could manage th

pack and was good at business.
Asher leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, and stared at me intently:
“You can let Leah have that fucking ex–husband of yours. But don’t let her take the Carnival City project as well. I can help you get it back.”
I held my breath involuntarily.
I had never thought about taking Carnival City as mine until just now. In my mind, it was Blazewood Pack’s project. It didn’t belong to me.
But it WAS mine.

I worked so hard to make this happen. Why let Leah take the credit?
“But I can’t just announce it as mine.” I said, breathing fast, “I’m just one person. I don’t have the manpower and money to do such a huge project
alone…”
“Storm Fang Pack will fund this project. As of manpower-”
He gave me a meaningful smile.
“You come from a pack up north, Emerald Howl Pack, if I remember correctly. It has enough men. Why project?
My heartrate quickened.

My brother Eason is the Gamma of Emerald Howl Pack. He didn’t want me to marry Tristan and we had a huge fight before I ran off with Tristan and we never spoke again.
Now that I was leaving Tristan, I wanted to go home.
Maybe if I brought back a huge project with me, I could even patch things with Eason,
“But how do you benefit from this?” I couldn’t help but ask Asher. “With Emerald Howl on board, you’ll have one more party splitting the profit.”
He smiled a mysterious smile and didn’t answer.
“So is that a yes?” he pursued.
need some time to consider.”
He leaned back in his chair, “My patience is limited.”
“Sorry…But this is a big decision to make.” I bit my lip and said, “If I divorce Tristan, I will want my dowry back. That’s 2000 soldiers and 30 million. He won’t say yes to that easily.”
“I’ll help you with that. You can even sign the contract after the divorce is done. That’s not a problem.” He offered his hand to me, “But let’s shake on it first. To show you’re inclined to agree to my proposal.”

I stood up.
After a brief hesitation, I took his hand.
Again. A jolt of electricity shot through my body, striking my very soul.
I instinctively let out a soft groan and tried to pull my hand back in panic.
But he tightened his grip, holding me firmly.
“What’s wrong?” he asked in a deep voice.
“…N–No, it’s nothing…”
His scent washed over me like a tide, making my legs weak. I had to use all my strength just to stay standing.
Elin was practically screaming in my mind, urging me to pounce on him, tear our clothes off, and press my hardened nipples against his naked
chest…
God! What’s wrong with me?!
I must have gone too long without sex.
Thank the Moon Goddess, he let go of me the next moment.
“Then we’ve reached an agreement,” his voice was as husky as mine. “When do you want to announce Emerald Howl Pack as the new partner?”
At the party. Right after I pitch the project,” I said without hesitation.
A soft smile spread across his lips, “I can’t wait to see. Allow me to escort you back
to the
party then.”
He offered me his arm and I placed my arm on his.
Together, we returned to the banquet hall.
Many guests had arrived at this point. They all turned their gazes at us when Asher and I entered the hall.
I raised my chin and gazed back at those guests with a confident smile.
I knew that most of them had heard about my divorce and was here to laugh at handsome man by my side now. I was impeccable.

I saw jealousy on his face.
A sweet sense of revenge surged up in my chest.
